    About this Episode

On today's episode, Rachel and I learn that it's bad to read before going to sleep because your imagination is trying to actively traumatize you with an army of not that scary good boy doggos who just wanna run through your house! I mean, it'll also give you horrific visions of gruesome, skin ripping werewolf transformations and smashed doll heads, but just think about all those doggos! The movie is The Company of Wolves, directed by Neil Jordan and written by Jordan and Anglea Carter, based on stories from Carter's book "The Bloody Chamber."

You like movies? You like movies about making movies? You like movies about secret movies being made while people are making movies? Do you want to read the word movie just one more time in this description? What the actual hell are you talking about, Dan? I'm talking about Effects, my favorite of the year so far, one of my new all times faves, and a motion picture that my guest John Salvador also enjoyed very much. It's a funny, dark, surprising, and indie as heck. Hope y'all dig it!

    Event Horizon

    Event Horizon

I gotta tell ya, this is the most a movie has ever been hyped for me where it's also matched the expectations set. It's spooky, it's bloody, it's shockingingly great for a Paul W. S. Anderson movie, and every performance was on point. Other than poking at the director, I have no bit for this episode, this movie kind of kicks that much ass. My good buddy Alex and I really enjoyed talking about it, and we also have a lot to say regarding the Audio Description and accessibility for both streaming and theatrical releses. Dig it!

You like slashers? You like Scream? Wanna watch two movies that are definitely not Scream, but still a lot of fun? Or at least one movie that isn't Scream and is a lot of fun but maybe not good? Then you're just the audience to join my awesome buddy Faye and I for the first two Urban Legends movies! Or at least the first one! Or the second one too, if you're me. I really hope someone else likes the second one.

The Final Chapter: David Gordon Green's Halloween Trilogy, My Bodyguard, and my 2022 favorites

Hi y’all, been a bit! And guess what? Here’s a special episode where we kinda discuss Halloween Ends! Again!

My good buddy Kevin Proff did a series review for David Gordon Green’s Halloween Trilogy (and Halloween ’78 because that’s relevant), as well as the non-horror movie My Bodyguard (because that’s also related somehow kinda).

Also, big announcement for the previous season’s episodes, as well as my favorites from last year!

Enjoy it y’all, and see you again in September for the next season of the show.

    Happy early spooky season!
