This week we continued our study of the mercy of God. Mercy is not escaping the “punishment” religion tells us we deserve. Mercy is about the God who knows us intimately identifying with us where we are currently at in our lives, and His drawing us closer into the truth and depth of relationship. It is about the restoration of all things, especially for those in trouble who are experiencing difficulties in life. Mercy is truly an expression of the loving kindness of Trinity.

Each of us is on a journey to explore and understand the depths of the Trinity’s heart towards us, our heart towards the Trinity and our heart towards each other. This week we studied the mercy of God. Mercy is not escaping the “punishment” religion tells us we deserve. Mercy is God clearing the way of anything that hinders our relationship with Him. Mercy is not earned and is not a suggestion that at our core we are “bad”. Mercy is God’s goodness, kindness faithfulness extended towards us. Ultimately it as an expression of God’s love for us.

This week we continue a discussion of Grace. Grace is the person of Jesus Christ. Through His love and mercy, His grace frames our lives and empowers us to live as our authentic self. His grace is a divine influence that enables us to change effortlessly from the inside out.

Grace is love in action and it changes our thoughts and perspectives revealing a better way to live. We are people of influence and impact because of the grace at work in us.
