THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT with Stephanie Koch

I first met Kristoffer "KC" Carter at Camp GLP, a weekend long adult camp, founded by the fantastic Jonathan Fields.  It was an incredible weekend of yoga and fitness, creative and career workshops, insightful speakers, and also... just a shit ton of fun! 

And keeping the container for all of this to occur was this incredibly energetic and engaging guy, and I couldn't stop thinking "I not only want whatever that guy's got, but also DO what he DOES!"  

Well it turns out, what KC has "got", and what he "does", are a lot of things.  A yogi and meditation teacher, musician, mentor, and family man,  he manages to bridge the worlds of spirituality and business in fun and inventive ways.  As a corporate coach, his company  This Epic Life  offers executives the tools to live as fully and exceptionally as possible, and his new book, "Permission to Glow: A spiritual guide to epic leadership",  invites us all to courageously do the same. 

KC is someone I admire in his ability to bring all parts of himself, to everything he does. And he does it all while embracing his light (and his dark), in a continuous quest, maybe the noblest and highest quest for us all:  A life of integrity, integration, and inspiration.

From partnerships with Apple, a state of the art STEAM program, and helping develop and lead what she calls the "dream team" of educators, counselors, and staff,  she's offering Atlantic City's youth the tools training, and inspiration to create bold, bright futures. 

In this episode we chat about many things, including: The importance of scheduling, old cell phones, the challenges our youth face today (and what we can do to help),  the MANY roles a CEO has to play, and how a normal service call lead to a powerful partnership.

Nefertiti Hathaway  is as confident as she is charismatic.  And she uses those attributes to lead, engage, and inspire her community to look beyond themselves, and towards others, to create not only true community, but true change. 

Her Organization, Ubuntu The Community , creates and executes events that bring people together in a myriad of ways.  From a Juneteenth cookout, to community kickball tournaments, various youth excursions and immersions, etc.,  her goal is to foster a spirit of connection and collaboration for all involved, leading us together toward a more empowered, positive world.

Whether it's his highly successful Photography Business, the mentoring program "The Art Of Six Figures", that he cofounded,  or his lifelong love of martial arts, Beau Ridge does everything with a commitment, courage, and candor that is truly inspiring.   Things like "discipline" and "Integrity" aren't just buzzwords for him, they're actually the foundation on which his success lies. 

He believes there's no "magic formula" to doing well, but merely a few tried and true principles and practices that can be used across our lives, our communities, and companies, to a build stronger, more successful society. 

Jon Henderson is no stranger to our motto,  "A Call To Connect".  He's been loudly, unapologetically making that call for over two decades, bringing thousands of people together at a time, from all walks of life, for events that range from craft beer and music festivals, tattoo conventions, a summer seafood fest, and even a halloween themed, lakeside fright fest!

And he does it all with a small, family owned and operated production company, Good Time Tricycle , and a fiercely loyal group of partners, staff, volunteers, and fans.   

His insistence on integrity, ingenuity, and harnessing the power of community were a perfect fit for "The Mighty Middle", so I was excited to dive in with him, and share his well earned insights with all of you.
