The One Where Tanya Orders Chick-Fil-A Twice

Happy International Women’s Day!  Honestly, I was low energy when I showed up today and just seeing Tanya’s face cheered me right up.  Maybe try to meet with a friend today in person or even on Facetime for a heart lift.  The story of the day is Tanya’s first near-death experience of the week, consisting of an electric blanket + a red light.  Read your warning labels, people.  Next up, is her story of customer service sending positive energy.  Shep and I have laughed and laughed about this one and will be using this phrase until the day we die.  Kind of like Tanya’s other quote, “Everybody likes blue cheese”.  So Shep gets a banjo!  We’re not even mad that “Dueling Banjos” is on repeat in our minds, keeping us up nights.  This leads to a total room makeover with his banjo as the focal piece.  Tanya’s second near-death experience occurs at the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve and frighteningly, we almost lost her and Shawn in one exaggerated exercise exhibition.  I suddenly want to hop on a helicopter and fly to Stoby’s for cheese dip.  Thank you for hanging out with us today!  Jasa

Once upon a time, there were two friends who had so much to say to each other, their microphones caught on fire!  Well, that didn’t happen today, but it was close.  I was with grandbabies in Virginia while Tanya was taking a CPR certification class.  The takeaway?  My grandbabies have my whole heart and my first aid kit needs an extreme makeover.  We joke about how different our lives are, specifically how I like to hurkle durkle and Tanya doesn’t.  Tanya simplifies her morning routine and it has changed her life.  Thanks for being with us as we enjoy Christ, each other, and you, our listeners.  See you next week,  Jasa

Hello to our 2024 audience!  It is such a pleasure to join you on life’s journey.  I feel like I have been Around the World in 80 Days and it sounds like it because neither Tanya nor I took more than 4 breaths throughout the entire podcast.  We are so happy to be back together with each other and all of you.  Snow and ice are falling across the US and we exchange snow stories of food, activities, and movies. The winter weather kept Cliff and me in Atlanta overnight, but I share some tips I picked up as we acted out the movie The Terminal (You know the one where Tom Hanks is stranded in an airport) Additionally, Shawn acted out the movie Driving Miss Daisy (You know, Morgan Freeman) on his snow day.  I talk as fast as I can about our niece’s wedding, the Zack Williams cruise, and the Miss America Pageant and Tanya asks all the right questions to keep me on track.  We get hung up on the Sister Wives scandal and can barely speak of the Golden Bachelor wedding.  You’ll get that. Happy New Year, our dear friends!  We are so grateful you have joined us for the first episode of our 5th season of the Superlatively Yes Podcast.  Tanya and I have a hoot taking a mini-trip down memory lane as we visit the highlights of 2023 and then make our best commitment to some changes we hope to make in 2024.  Tanya affectionately listened to some of our best podcasts of 2023 and reminded me of quotes that helped us make it through the year, such as, “All roads lead to cheese” and “Your pain is your pain”.  We agree that we are still struggling with decision fatigue which proves some things never change.  I start brain therapy, also known as LENS therapy, this month and eagerly share the findings and goals for that.  Much love as we begin a new year!  Take care, Jasa
