    Casey and Tim talk to Adam Arnold, exploring a host of topics - from Adam's transition from theater to mental health, the impact of trust in teams, trauma, and what the artistic community can teach leaders.  Listen in for a wide-ranging conversation and stick around for Casey and Tim to process after the conversation.

    Today's guest, Adam Arnold, is a licensed psychotherapist, and co-director of Enliven Psychotherapy. He works with individuals and families through a trauma lens. He is particularly passionate about working collaboratively to increase a feeling of safety in the body.

    Adam has worked in schools, summer camps, after school programs, arts organizations, athletic settings, day treatment centers, correctional facilities, and residential treatment centers. For over ten years Adam combined his passions for healing and the arts, serving as Founder and Artistic Director of blank slate theatre, a personal growth-oriented theatre for youth in Saint Paul, Minnesota. While there, he collaborated with culturally and ability diverse youth to produce over two dozen theatre pieces focusing on themes of mental health and social change, including the award-winning Disordered [thy name is teenager], and Bottom, a play on child sex trafficking. Adam also was proud to serve as chair of the "Safe Schools, Safe Students Conference," which sought to address mental health issues in schools, innovate family involvement with schools, soothe peer aggression (bullying), and eliminate school shootings.

    Adam continues his special interest in collaborating with culturally and ability diverse persons, frequently treating mental and chemical health concerns within transracially adoptive families, persons with developmental disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ community. He is trained in, and commonly utilizes, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

    When not at Enliven, Adam practices yoga, watches scary movies, and listens to nerdy podcasts.

She is the Talent Development Director at Ecumen where she supports team member experience, growth, and education. Her background in Organizational Leadership along with the A Deeper Way framework allows her to support those working in the healthcare industry while honoring their individuality and unique needs.

    Dustin Lee is the CEO and President at Prairie Senior Cottages with seven locations specializing in serving those living with memory loss. He is a passionate and relentless advocate for those those touched by all forms of dementia. Dustin has spent the entirety of his career working his way up in the healthcare industry, gaining valuable experiences in managing home health care agencies, traditional and memory care assisted livings, and served as a regional director of housing across 3 states supervising 17 locations. At the young age of 17 he began his career in health care by working with developmentally handicapped adults. After getting his college degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, his entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and he started his own medical transport business and eventually the development of several assisted living communities. Additionally, he spent 23 years in the US Army and US Air Force Reserve, with one deployment to Iraq.
