I have mix some LIVE recordings from CLOUDCYCLE* with some of my farvorit tracks from bak$hishrec and live recordings from the COSMIC OCTAVE, Audionik and Planet Gong Master JENS ZYGAR, The Sphere of Io and the sound of the Earth. Enjoy these deep soundscapes which are very good for, the long winter nights, diffrent meditations , mind flooting, psychedelik sassions, the wintersolstice & neo shamanic rituals or just for relaxing on the couch and let the day flow. ;) *cloudcycle live jam @ the ambient paradise stage – boom 26082010 recorded live in portugal in 2kX CLOUDCYCLE is a bizarre experiment conceived by mauxuam (unpredictable manouvrer who has been turning knobs on many diverse and obscure projects) and Greg Hunter (Dubsahara, Subsurfing, Alien Soap Opera, the Orb) and. two experienced space navigators who lost their way home, met eachother along the digital pipeline and forgot where they were heading to and why. Master Margherita met them along the way and while trying to help them find a direction, got himself lost too lately more guests got lost in the clouds and joined in the cloudcycle lab, Lingua Lustra, Ishq with a 39 min long intergalactic version, Ennui, Dionysiac, Merohedra and Expect Resistance. Cloudcycle started one mad night 3 years ago and it is still morphing into new shapes greg and maux, moreno, al, matt have been shifting and drifting working online at huge distance of time and space (greg in uk and egypt, maux in oz, moreno in switzerland, al in amsterdam, matt in cornwall)connected by the magic of wand skype with no timeline, no deadline and no end. Without knowing what to do and simply bored with the old music biz paradigma, they started to release this music as an audioblog on the net uploading the tracks as soon they finished them including alternative mixes and demos and the samples to do your own remix. Deep and heavy beats and out of nowhere melodies, slow techno and endless ambient drones familiar with every genre without belonging to any trend, cloudcycle is a bunch of trip-a-delic dub-minimal-glitch-world-oddness, a spicy and scented delight for the senses disappearing before you get hold of it dissolving without trace fractalized in micromacro syncronicities. The discovery of the relationship of geometry and mathematics to music within the Classical Period is attributed to Pythagoras, who found that a string stopped halfway along its length produced an octave, while a ratio of 3/2 produced a fifth interval and 4/3 produced a fourth. Pythagoreans believed that this gave music powers of healing, as it could "harmonize" the out-of-balance body, and this belief has been revived in modern times. Hans Jenny, a physician who pioneered the study of geometric figures formed by wave interactions and named that study cymatics, is often cited in this context. Even though Hans Jenny did pioneer cymatics in modern times, the study of geometric relationships to wave interaction (sound) obviously has much older roots (Pythagoras). A work that shows ancient peoples understanding of sacred geometry can be found in Scotland. In the Rosslyn Chapel, Thomas J. Mitchell, and his son, has found what he calls "frozen music". Apparently, there are 213 cubes with different symbols that are believed to have musical significance. After 27 years of study and research, Mitchell has found the correct pitches and tonality that matches each symbol on each cube, revealing harmonic and melodic progressions.
