The Summer of 2010

Fangirl Magazine teams up with HorrorHound Magazine to bring you the newest Comicon adventure. HorrorHound Issue #30 is the special Comic Book issue and has a ton of great graphic novel content as well as coverage of the new Fright Night along with Creepshow and Fright Night retrospectives. Jessica Dwyer goes over some of the high points of the world's biggest pop culture bonanza as well as some of the problems this time around. Following the comic book theme we talk to actor Michael McMillian who plays Rev. Steve Newlin on TrueBlood. Michael is also a comic book writer and is penning the 2nd series of TrueBlood comics, Tainted Love being published by IDW.

Jessica Dwyer interviews Mike Neel and Greg Ansin of the Drive In HorrorShow. Independent Horror meets Independents day (or pretty darn close) with the movies wide release happening on July 5th. Genre talk happens as does discussion about zombies and how the Dark Crystal can scar a young man for life.

Jessica is back with another episode. We're not dead yet, we're getting better! Alan Tudyk is interviewed about his work in Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, Firefly, and all points in between. Jessica also plays catch up and gives information about HorrorHound Weekend which is taking place in March in Indianapolis, IN and where you will be able to catch Tucker and Dale Vs Evil.

Jessica shares the experience that is Comicon as well as interviews a master of imaginary weapons forging, Greg Broadmore. Marvel, Bic'ings, and District 9 are on the menu. Tastes sort of like shrimp.

Jessica Dwyer prattles on about the depression that is the Summer movie season. She goes over the winners and losers so far. Apparently classic 80's TV shows can translate well when done correctly (take that Miami Vice.) Tech talk focuses on the crack that is the Ipad and GPS apps for the Iphone. Fan art in the way of mixes and videos is discussed and we hear about the upcoming monster that is COMICON.

Jessica and Rachel are back! AGAIN! And this time around they bring their ramblings on television both lost and still around. As well as reviews on Iphone tech and an interview with Larry Blamire, the man behind one of the best cult classics in the last ten years The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra!! Which is back! AGAIN!

Jessica and Rachel discuss the wonders of Tim Burton (and Johnny Depp of course) as they cover Alice In Wonderland. The history of the books, their author, as well as the new movie is covered. And much squeeing is to be had (nautrally)

In this episode of Fangirl Magazine's Podcast, Jessica and Rachel cover two very different genres when Rachel interviews Craig Horner of Legend of the Seeker and then Jessica teaches the history of Freddy Krueger and the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise.
