    About this Episode

#058 - What is the unwritten curriculum I hear you say? Well in my opinion it's the stuff you teach that is not always in your program. It's the stuff that probably matters the most, and will be remembered by our students the most. It's the lessons around love, compassion, empathy, resilience, perseverance and equality, just to name a few. In my conversation with education expert Gavin McCormack, I learnt well and truly the full meaning of education!!

#63 - In this episode we meet Daniela Falecki, an educator, lecturer, coach, author and founder of Teacher Wellbeing. This lady is a breath of fresh air in this space we call well being. I loved how her no nonsense approach to improving our well being can be attained, by not only ourselves but with our colleagues too. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed with the world or on top of the world, we can all learn something from Daniela.

    The Impact of Great Teachers

    The Impact of Great Teachers

#062 - In this episode we meet Aisha who shares with us her story. Her story about how she overcame multiple obstacles and still come out on top to be a real success story! She is the first person in her family to complete Year 12 (and that was no easy task), went on to start her apprenticeship with a local hairdresser, and won herself a generous scholarship to help her out financially.
She is very grateful for her teachers that helped her along the way, but I have to admit, Aisha deserves some recognition too. We all could learn something from this young lady!!

    Remote Learning

    Remote Learning

#055 - When teachers hear the words 'remote learning', 'learning from home', 'lockdown', or 'Zooms', I am sure they cringe! Remote learning was such a unique time in teaching history as well as world history. We have never experienced such quick changes and rapid upskilling in teaching ever before like the pandemic caused. In this episode, we listen to Eammon, a principal at his school, who shares what he and his staff did during the lockdown, how they structured their remote learning, with the emphasis on what really mattered - improving mental health and spending time with family!
