    About this Episode

For our first novel, we are going to be having a look at the world and dragons of Tiamath, from Jo Walton's book "Tooth and Claw".  Every character is a dragon in this victorian english setting, and we follow the children of the Agornin family following their father's death.

We start with a review, touching on the general pacing, language used, and lightly touching on the themes and plot to help you decide if you would like to read and experience for yourselves.  Then, after a quick break to give you time to stop the episode if you decide to pick this book up for yourself, you may join us as we discuss the plot in depth, the characters themselves, and how Jo handles a world of dragons.

    Eragon

    Eragon

Welcome, Minions, to our 50th "real" Episode!  (not counting filler episodes, interviews, and two parters).

Normally, we cover what we consider to be relatively unknown topics to help  you discover new things, but for this special day, we decided to cover what we thought was the post popular and well known piece of dragon literature out there:  Eragon.  We're sure you've all heard of it, at least in passing, so we'll just give a quick review before simply sharing our thoughts on the world, story, writing, and so on.  We cover the first book, the movie, and even the game adaptation minorly.

Bittersweet news, this is also the last episode that Dilitan will be consistently joining us on, as some additional responsibilities in life are taking up his free time now.  He will pop in from time to time for some of the simpler, faster stuff, like movies, but the time sinks that are books, he will likely sit out on in the future.

We hope you enjoy the content we bring you and stick around with us for many more episodes <3

    Divinity: Dragon Commander

    Divinity: Dragon Commander

Greetings Dragon Disciples, back after a long delay, Two and a Half Dragons are here to review the game Divinity: Dragon Commander, by Larian Studios, makers of the recent hit game Baldur's Gate 3.  At the time of recording, we had thought it topical to cover something from Larian's past, and who wouldn't love a game where you can play as a dragon wearing a jetpack?

Come listen to The Dragons discuss the games mechanics, a mixture of RTS and political decision making, and talk about the choices you can make during the rpg section.

    Guardian of Empire

Stay tuned after the outro song for a brief spoilery discussion on book 3, as we will not be continuing the series with the podcast, as book 3 deviates quite a bit and there's so much more to do out  there.

    Nimona

The Dragons get together to discuss the Netflix Original, Nimona.  A show set in a futuristic "sci-fi fantasy".  The show features a shapeshifter that only momentarily becomes a dragon, but we use this as an excuse to talk more about the shapeshifting trope, and what we personally do and do not like about it.

    Dota: Dragons Blood

    Dota: Dragons Blood

*Blaring horn from start of match*

Greetings listeners!  This week we are reviewing the Netflix animated show, Dota Dragons Blood, based off the hit game, Dota 2.  The Show centers mostly around Dragon Knight, Mirana, and Invoker, but it gives a hefty amount of interesting dragon lore so far as the 'cosmos' of Dota is involved.

Come join us as we briefly discuss the game, then the show with a few tangents revolving around the definition of "Chaos" and if its a good or bad thing, as well as rants on overpowered characters, and puzzling out time travel/dimensional resets.

    The Last Monster on Earth

    The Last Monster on Earth

The dragons get together to discuss the book The Last Monster On Earth, by L.J. Davies.  A book where a boy wakes up in a post apocalyptic world with no memories, having changed into a 'monster', essentially a dragon, and struggles to find out what's going on, where everyone is, and to survive.

come join the dragons as they rant about story tropes and cliches, with sprinkle of 'being bamboozled' or misled.  The book was enjoyable, but of a surprise genre that one of the host's is not a fan of!
