Twitter 2.0 Special Episode - Unpacking the Changes and Exploring What’s Next - Part 1

    enNovember 11, 2022

    About this Episode

This week on The Creator Feed, we talk through some of the biggest and most explosive aspects of Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter.  This episode - part 1 of a two-part series - dives into the changes on the executive level, the massive layoffs, separation packages, and the new team running the ship.  Along with talking about cost reduction and RIF, we dive into the revenue side of Twitter 2.0, exploring how advertisers are reacting to the changes, the dialog between Elon Musk and the IAB, and handicap other revenue-generating ideas floated by Twitter and other pundits.  Finally, we talk through the morass of verification, unpacking the new subscription tier that includes a blue check mark, the once and future grey check, and the fallacy of charging your biggest creators to create on the platform.  Stay tuned for Part 2 next week where we explore additional changes, moderation and free speech, and discuss what the future looks like for the beleaguered social network
