    About this Episode

Note: I recognize these whiteboard Quickshots probably suck on the podcast. Check out Youtube on Martinis With Scott to get the full visual.

Episode 92 is a Quickshot on the Habit Loop and how to use it in business to change culture and behaviors.

The Habit Loop is: a Cue, leads to a Routine, leads to a Reward, leads back to the Cue.

To break a habit, you need to remove the Cue. Or, change the Routine to arrive at an equal Reward.

In business, it's the same, except you can't often remove the Cue. Focus on the Response you want and the Reward for EMPLOYEES when they deliver that Response.

In this Episode, I discuss the warnings of investor Kevin O’Leary, Mr. Wonderful, about the availability of capital to medium and small businesses.

    There is none.

And the cost of debt – interest rates – has increased a lot, often more than doubled.  That causes problems for borrowers and therefore banks, which feeds the cycle of negativity.

    How to reduce debt.

    How to increase cash flow.

    How to access capital.

    227. Break Free from Boring: How to Get Attention Like a Pro

    Welcome back for another Season!

In this Episode, I review Jordan Peterson's battle with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and demonstrate that the issue is not at all what you’ve been told.

It is not an epic battle between a free speech crusader and a government limiting free speech.

Peterson is wrong on the micro issue of his Profession.  But he has played this brilliantly for persuasion and business.  Find out how.

The first rule of persuasion is Attention.  A good way to get attention is to not be boring.

Different results require different actions.  Part of change is dropping business strategies with outdated utility.

When faced with a problem or crisis, Jocko Willink reframes the situation with one word:  GOOD.
