    About this Episode

This is an installation from my monthly excursions into drum heavy, sampled soul grooves dubbed the Waxploitation Sessions. I always try to represent with tracks that are good by themselves as well as have some familiarity to hip hop heads bc some of the elements have been looped and refixed in some classic hip hop jams. But even if you're not familiar with them, it's a deep dive into some serious drum beats and grooves from the 70s and beyond. Brothers Gonna Work It Out/ Willie Hutch We Gettin' Down/ Weldon Irvine Shaft In Africa/ Johnny Pate Running Away/ Roy Ayers Pastures/ Ahmad Jamal Save Their Souls/ Bohannon School Boy Crush/ Average White Band Can't Turn Me Away/ Sylvia Staplin Concrete Reservation/ Syl Johnson Soul Vibrations/ Dorothy Ashby Super People/ The Notations Cebu/ The Commodores Ridin High/ Faze-O Sneakin' In the Back/ Tom Scott Smokin' Cheeba Cheeba/ Harlem Underground Band You'll Like It Too/ Funkadelic Theme From Planets/ Dexter Wansel I Believe In Miracles/ Jackson Sisters Audi 5000!!!
