    John is back with episode three and he kicks things off with some updates from the curling world (00:30). He then is joined by John Epping (5:10) who is taken through the lightning round, talks about what kept him going on his long road to making the Brier (11:30), his coming out story and what it means to represent the LGBTQ2+ community in pro sports (15:30), talks about playing too often and they wrap it up with “Own Career Trivia”.

    John welcomes a new segment to the podcast inviting Warren Hansen to give us a history lesson on corn brooms (40:30).

    In the House today we have special guest Tracy Fleury who just won the Scotties as third for Rachel Homan (3:05). In What’s Happening Around the Curling World? The Scotties are over for another year but we take one last look back at it all. We take a look at the World Junior Championship (U-21) and make a correction to something we said. And get ready, the Brier starts Friday so the guys make their picks for the final six teams. Kevin has some big events happening in the U.S. over the next while that are being done in conjunction with the Lupus Foundation (27:01). On Hot Rocks Topics, we look at a couple of emails (44:03) and on What are You Hearing? The semifinal at the Scotties was over before it started when Jennifer Jones scored five in the first end against Kate Cameron. Immediately social media lit up with people wondering why Cameron had to continue on and play nine full ends: why could they not quit sooner?

    The Scotties in Calgary just finished the round robin portion of the tournament and we review what has happened so far. The world juniors being held in Finland has also reached the end of the round robin, so we'll check in on how Canada is doing. There was also quite a bit of chatter this week at the Scotties about curlers dropping “F” bombs and Warren wrote a story about it on Facebook.

Last Friday it was announced that Team Canada lead Brianne Harris had been ruled ineligible to participate, we recap what we know and  don’t know about what happened The World Juniors Championship are also underway in Finland and we take a look at what has happened so far. Meanwhile, Scotland announced the teams that will be representing the nation at the men’s and women’s worlds and it was a surprise about who was named (27:28).     In the House today is special guest Kerri Einarson! Kerri will be representing Team Canada at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Calgary and is looking for her fifth consecutive title (3:16). In What’s Happening Around the Curling World? The guys review what happened at the men’s provincial championships in Alberta and in Manitoba. Plus, the National Championships were concluded in Scotland and Switzerland last weekend. Also, the Mixed Doubles Super Series wrapped up with the Players Championship. For the next generation, the Canadian U-18 Championship concluded in Ottawa and the World Juniors are underway in Finland (20:21).

    Yesterday, Jennifer Jones announced that following this season she will retire from competitive women’s curling and will only continue to curl mixed doubles with her husband Brent Laing. After one of the most outstanding careers in women's curling history, which includes Olympic Gold, Scotties glory, 2 World Championships and 17 Grand Slam wins, Jennifer joins Kevin, Warren and Jim to talk about her decision to step away.
