Welcome to another thought-provoking episode of The Daily Radical: A Social Justice Podcast. This week our host, Dra. Nicole, is joined by the insightful Christina Gonzalez to delve deep into the topic of Toxic Monogamy Culture.

    This episode covers:

    1. Christian expectations of monogamy and marriage placed on women, and how this impacts the way we navigate relationships.
    2. Non-monogamy is traditionally portrayed as deviant and unethical. We are only offered one option, and taught not to question it.
    3. Consensual non-monogamy and a critical feminist analysis of monogamy. What assumptions do we make about relationships, especially in a heteronormative context?
    4. Assumed promiscuity in non-monogamy**.** Non-monogamous relationships are not always about just sex, but sometimes they are and there is nothing wrong with that.
    5. Healthy communication. Assumptions made in monogamous relationships are often derived from poor communication. What questions should we be asking our partners?
