Who We Are and How We Heal with Nina Mongendre

    enApril 27, 2023

    About this Episode

None of us came out of childhood unscathed.

Let’s face it, even the lucky ones among us didn’t get an ideal childhood.

Are you still looking for approval from your parents? Do you long for them to see and accept you for who you are? How do you see your parents today? Are you holding onto a fantasy?

Is there anything you need from them in order to live your life fully and authentically?

Deep, raw and very personal conversation with  kundalini yoga and meditation teacher Nina Mongondre. She is the author of the Inner Child & Beyond Oracle deck and is writing a book about inner child and ancestral healing. In her private practice, she offers shamanic healing, neuroEmotional coaching and inherited trauma work.

The central theme is the parent-adult child relationship and some key points we touched upon are:

    • How becoming a parent gives us new understanding and appreciation for our parents

    • How in order to accept, we need to grieve first

    • What healing in a relationship means to us

    • The acute and sudden awareness of an immense vulnerability after you lose your parents that those who still have their parents alive won’t understand

    • How our parents live in us even if we cut ties with them

    • And so much more.

Profound Truths About Loss and Grief That Everybody Needs to Know

WARNING: There is a mention of suicide, PTSD, death, drowning in this episode.

The most profound concept around grief and loss is that we do do it even though it feels impossible and it is actually impossible.

As a grief and loss specialist Meghan Riordan Jarvis, didn’t expect how unprepared she was after her mother’s death. Grief-stricken, she found herself unable to go on with life and ended up in the same inpatient cliinic where she used to send her clients.

What makes grief traumatic? The symptoms of grief, and so much more.
