    MICHELE SIMON, JD, MPH
Public health attorney, food industry expert, author, and fierce advocate for women in the workplace. She is well regarded as an expert on plant-based foods and business strategy.

Michele Simon is also a brilliant lawyer who has worked on issues of food and justice, particularly the plant-based space, for many years.  I met her when she was organizing at Expo West around the treatment of Miyoko Schinner, founder of Miyoko's, and of many other founders of small businesses in the natural products business.  Are women and other marginalized groups treated fairly in a white male-dominated business space?  These may be difficult questions to address but I believe we owe it to each other to try.

Michele is also the author of the book Appetite for Profit.

You can read her archived work on Eat Drink Politics which was created before she founded the Plant-Based Food Association.  For more information on her ongoing work visit her website.
