Why Your Wins Are Actually Destroying Your Success, with Andy Frisella - MFCEO295

    enApril 02, 2019

    Podcast Summary

    • Taking control of your life and pursuing your full potentialRealize that your success is defined by you, commit to your goals, and focus on personal growth and impact.

Becoming the CEO of your own life means taking control, exercising discipline, and being committed to your goals. It's about realizing that your success is defined by you and the pursuit of your full potential. The MFCO project aims to help you do this through entrepreneurship, personal development, and practical concepts. Your success is not just about what you leave behind financially, but also the example you set for others. Ultimately, we're all going to be dead, so what you leave behind in terms of personal growth and impact is what truly matters.

    • Strive for greatness and join a supportive communityPursue your potential, do your 'real best', and consider joining the RTA Syndicate for valuable learning opportunities and growth.

Living your best life and striving for excellence not only benefits yourself but also inspires others. The speaker emphasizes the importance of doing your "real best" and encourages listeners to pursue their potential. He also mentions an exclusive opportunity to join the RTA Syndicate, a private group where members can learn valuable information and grow together. The live stream event offers a sneak peek into the group and promises to deliver $200 worth of value. The RTA Syndicate is not open to the public and requires an application, but the speaker assures it's worth the effort to apply. Overall, the message is to strive for greatness and join a community that supports and encourages personal growth.

    • Avoid excessive celebration of small victoriesStay focused on long-term goals, recognize progress, but don't overcelebrate or lose sight of the bigger picture.

Winning consistently requires staying focused and avoiding excessive celebration of small victories. The speaker, who is following the 75 hard challenge, has observed that some people make progress but then get complacent and start to slip up. They celebrate their small wins and lose sight of their long-term goals. The speaker emphasizes that real winners keep winning by staying humble and recognizing the progress they've made while also keeping their eyes on the prize. They don't overcelebrate, and instead, they remain focused and conscious of how far they have to go. The speaker warns against disproportionate celebration, such as taking a day off after three days on a diet or buying expensive items when financial resources are limited.

    • Successful people view winning as an expected outcomeSuccessful people stay focused on the process and the next goal, avoiding excessive celebrations that may distract from their long-term vision

Successful people handle their wins differently than the average person. They don't celebrate disproportionately to their achievement. Instead, they view winning as an expected outcome, much like enjoying a sunset or watching a great football game. They don't get shocked or amazed by their success, but rather, they focus on the process and the work required to achieve it. This mindset is a key component of consistent success. When people go overboard celebrating their wins, it can send a message to the world that their success was a fluke, rather than a result of hard work and discipline. Successful people, on the other hand, are focused on the next win, the next goal, and the next challenge. They don't let their celebrations distract them from their long-term vision.

    • Celebrating excessively can hinder long-term growthFocus on the process and long-term goals, not just individual victories, for sustainable success.

Focusing on short-term successes and celebrating excessively can hinder long-term growth and fulfillment. True winners maintain a consistent focus on their goals and the process of achieving them, rather than getting distracted by individual victories. It's important to find a balance between celebrating achievements and staying dedicated to the journey towards a lifetime of success. While it's understandable to let loose after reaching a pinnacle goal, excessive celebration before reaching that point can be detrimental. Instead, keep your head down and put in the work to reach your full potential.

    • Focus on the next goal after celebrating victoriesGreat individuals quickly shift focus to the next challenge after celebrating victories to maintain consistent success

Great individuals, such as Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant, do not dwell on their victories for long. They may celebrate, but their focus quickly shifts to the next challenge. This undistracted and driven attitude is what sets them apart and contributes to their consistent success. It's essential to adopt this mindset if you want to make winning a lifestyle and a lifelong achievement. Celebrate your victories, but don't let them distract you from the journey and the next goal. Embrace progress and enjoy the wins, but always look forward to the next opportunity to succeed.

    Think like Elon Musk

How do people like Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Steve Jobs, get outsized results? How do they think and operate at a level so much higher than everybody else?  How do they get so much done in the same amount of time that we have?

Here’s why: their default thinking is at a higher level than almost everyone else.

Most of us question whether or not we can earn enough to retire or put our kids through college, let alone investing billions into colonizing Mars.

While I feel I'm only about 10 steps up my own Mt. Everest— getting to where I'm at now was a huge goal for me. Doing what I love and earning more than I ever have with the flexibility to travel and spend more time with family. It required deep mindset work and oftentimes weird tactics to create breakthroughs and to outthink my own limiting beliefs.

It’s the same with these world-class performers.

What is it that these world-changers are doing differently? They're stepping back, asking different questions, and operating at a higher level.

Today I reveal to you tactics, questions, and mindset hacks that let you outthink your own limiting beliefs. Tune in now and let’s talk about these 11 high-level thinking questions to ask yourself to create powerful clarity and your long-awaited breakthrough in life.

    Break That Cycle!

    Break That Cycle!

We are creatures of habit. And, habits are not easy to break.

But, don't expect different results when you do the same thing again, and again.

The best way to garner different results is to break that cycle!

Make a change in how you think and act, your outcomes will change too. With a tad bit of care and insights, you can realize the outcomes you seek.

But, how do you make such changes?

    Listen in!

    1906 Progress Requires Change

Progress requires change. "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." (George Bernard Shaw)

Most of what we see resides within our comfort zone. We look through the same set of lenses only to search out different results.

"If you are comfortable, you are fighting the enemy of progress." ~ Kristianne Wargo

If you want to see different results, you have to look through a different set of lenses. You must escape your comfort zone.

When you are not caught in the same reality, you can see better what needs to be changed.

    Progress requires change.

Think about this. You would not use the same shoes to climb a mountain as you would to swim an ocean.

    Is your progress creating change?

Because you know that if you are making changes, you are making progress. It doesn't matter how slow or how fast.

    Progress requires change.

So how can you make the change in order to experience progress?

The K.I.S.S. ~ Alway be under construction!

During our homeschooling years, we had to name our school. It was KUCCA. I never believed that you learn one thing and then you are finished. Each situation and story overlaps with another. You learn from your experiences, failures, successes, etc.

When you think about it, life is not about one and done.

Life is full of building blocks. The thing is what type of blocks are you using to build your life?

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." ~ Buckminster Fuller

    1. Compete every day to intentionally make a change. Don't settle for comfort. Remember, comfort is the enemy of progress.
    2. Slow down in order to speed up. You are not running a marathon in a minute. Take small consistent steps every day.
    3. Build with blocks that create your now. Instill your day with blocks of gratitude, consistency, faith, love, and hope.

What can you do today to create your now? What needs to be put under construction?
