    About this Episode

This is a great mini coaching on the idea that whenever you win, someone else “fails.” The perspective is how we should handle winning and loosing while understanding that we all experience both and someone is on the other end when we do.

History Is What You Think It Is

History Is What You Think It Is
How is your past affecting you today? During this micro-training, I discuss the idea that a person’s history is not a collection of past events, rather it is your thoughts about your past events that make up your history. In addition, those thoughts drive your emotions which affect your current and future thoughts and decisions. The amazing fact is that we all have the power to change our thoughts which changes our emotions which reshapes our past and ultimately drives our future. The question is, how are you thinking about your past and are those thoughts helping or hurting your present and future? Just remember that we all have the incredible gift of being able to reshape our thoughts about our past to create a more fulfilling, positive and successful future! Shut down your mental storage facility.

Shut down your mental storage facility.
Some people rent a storage facility to hold the items they perceive as valuable. Ironically, at some point, the price they pay to rent the storage facility becomes more than the value of what’s actually being stored. The same can be true for our minds. At one point, we stored thoughts and beliefs such as guilt, anger, bitterness, regret, frustration, angst, procrastination etc. that may have had a purpose and value at the time, but the mental and emotional price we pay to keep those thoughts and beliefs have far outweighed the value they once had. During this 2 min talk, I discuss the concept that maybe it’s time to de-clutter your mind and shut down the mental storage facility that holds the thought and beliefs that no longer have value or serve a purpose for you.

3 Ways to Celebrate Someone That Thinks Different Than You

3 Ways to Celebrate Someone That Thinks Different Than You
Last night I felt very honored to be one of the invited speakers at an Interfaith Iftar Dinner. The theme (and motto of the organization) was “LOVE FOR ALL AND HATRED FOR NONE.” It was a celebration of all religions and cultures. In a world where so many people are quick to reject or “tolerate” those that are different, it was an amazing experience to celebrate, learn from and honor everyone equally, despite our so called differences. I pray that the world eliminates rejection of others, graduates from mere tolerance of others and moves to celebrating and learning from each other’s unique perspectives, cultures and religious practices.
