The San Diego Padres made the trip from sunny San Diego to the chillier Philadelphia for Games 3, 4, and 5 after taking Game 2 in convicing fashion. Joe Musgrove would be making his third start of the postseason after his first two ended up in Padres wins. The Padres would have to battle a few misfortunes throughout, but in the end they had a chance with the tying run at the plate in the top of the 9th. The San Diego Padres did the impossible for the second time in the 2022 MLB Postseason. First was taking down the New York Mets in the three game Wild Card Series. Next, was to slay the dragon that was the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series. The next step would be to beat the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Championship series.

The Padres were not supposed to even make it to play the Dodgers. The Padres were never supposed to come close to beating the Dodgers in a 5 game series. The San Diego Padres were one more win away from their 3rd NLCS appearance as a franchise. They would have to beat a Dodgers team facing an exit way before they expected. Episode 6: "Beat LA!"

Padres fans were finally going to be able to see their hometown team in the postseason at Petco Park. The 2020 season did feature playoff baseball, but there were only cardboard cutouts and pumped in crowd noise. This time, the Dodgers would be getting the full force of the Petco Park crowd. Episode 4: "When you’re playing against your daddy…"

The Padres had just eliminated the New York Mets from playoff contention and hopped on a plane to Los Angeles to take on the rival Dodgers. The Dodgers owned the Padres during the regular season winning 15 of 19 games. As they say, that was then, this is now. The National League Division Series got underway with a Julio Urias/Mike Clevinger matchup in Game 1. Episode 3: "Hang wit em Buck!"

On October 9th, 2022, New York City was the site for one of the most historic games in San Diego Padres history. This was do or die for the Padres. If they win, they move on to face the Dodgers. If they lose, they will be heading home to think about what could have been.

Episode 2: "It has been meat-grindery here tonight."

The San Diego Padres were just one win away from the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. All the Padres needed to do was get through Jacob deGrom and the New York Mets in Game 2 and they would be on a flight home. Much easier said than done.
