It's update time!
Lets talk about one of the craziest weeks of the year getting ready for a wedding on the farm. The things that went right and what we wish went better. There are definitely some funny story's we want to share with you Bloomers on these episode of A Blooming Good Time!
We listen to music, A LOT! I don't think there has been a episode that we haven't talked about a new song, a favorite band, or the rocking playlist we've been slinging bouquets to. We always have the jams going. Its something we defiantly need, but why is it so important? Lets talk about it on this episode of A Blooming Good Time.
When you work in the wedding industry styled shoots can be a big help when in comes to building a portfolio or in getting your name out there, if you do it right. There are a lot of benefits to doing them! But there are definitely some down sides. Don't worry though, we are here to talk you through it on this episode of A Blooming Good Time.
We are 100% in our high season aka STRESS season. With 2-4 wedding and events a weekend plus the farm and wholesale markets to keep stalked and organized it can be a bit more then stressful. That is a big no though of our health, so lets dive deep into the health hazards of stress and how we can fight those anxious feelings on this episode of A Blooming Good Time!
We have been working in florals for what feels like a life time now and in many MANY different avenues. From farming, designing, and Wholesale we definitely know our way about the wholes system. But there are A LOT of things we've learn along the way, especially when it comes to all the different ways to make it work as a business. So let us help you skip a lot of the hard steps and get to where you want to be, with maybe a few less misshapes.
Not gonna lie, our life's can be very crazy and hectic. Sometimes if feels like we never have time to do anything that's just for ourselves. Between work and friends it can be stressful to not have room for a bit of "me time". So lets put it into practice by building healthy routines and knowing when to say no to going out or yes to a little solo antique shopping. Lets rebuild and take the time to be better versions o our self's.
What makes a home "homie"? Well me like to think YOU do, as in you as a individual. Whatever is you is exactly what home is. Weather your bright and colorful but minimalistic, or chill warm and eclectic. Making a home is putting your personality into a physical space. But Girls, what if I don't know how to do that? Well don't you fret Bloomers! We got some tips for you.
Healthy plants part 2 baby!!!
We're talking more about medical plants today but lets get more into the "How too". How to identify, how to harvest, when to harvest, and what should I make? We get into it all today on A Blooming Good Time. Plus we get into more cool plants that could be growing in your back yard.
We have to confess, we're kind of plant nerds. Well Rilley is, especially when it comes to medicinal plants and being able to know how to identify them in the wild. So after a fun weekend away full of woodland and costal plant heaven, she's FINALY doing her healthy plants episode. Lets dive into plants and flowers growing in your own back yard an how they may just help you with those headaches or insomnia. Healthy plants aren't just your fruits and vegetables.

Beth Chatto was the amazing gardener who said "Right plant, right place." meaning there is a prefect plant for each circumstance, you just need to do the research. Well you can also think of this when your creating a garden, what is it that the landscape is already telling you? Is it dry and sandy? Or maybe wet and shady? All of these things can drastically change the kind of garden that you'll want to create, but we can walk you through it. Flower farming seems like the most magical job, where rainbows and butterflies fill the sky, and we frolic through fields of wild flowers, ribbons flowing behind every twirl, but lets be real here. There is a lot of work that goes into farming! Just like any other job, this one has its ups and downs, and we would love to sit down and chat about what it takes to be a flower farmer, and as always, we have some pretty funny stories to tell.
Many times we get the question "How do you do it all?". With us not only full time farming/designing, we are also running a YouTube, posting on Instagram daily, and of course recording this podcast. To not get overwhelmed we came up with some tips and tricks we've found really helpful over the years that keep us organized, and on top of the farming life.
