His style, often described as "refreshing and energetic", has earned this music aficionado a loyal following and a reputation as "the life of the party." His eclectic selections, turntabalism and skillful approach to MC’ing, make him a triple threat to his peers. Refusing to rely on gimmicks or trends, A-Ski’s reputation is solely built on a sincere love of music, dance and atmosphere. "Improving the quality of life through sound" is his mantra, which has maintained the longevity of this Los Angeles native’s career in music
A-Ski has collaborated with world-renowned performers such as Nikka Costa, Seal, Garth Trinidad, Dj Center, Mayer Hawthorne, Dj Spinna, Joe Sumner (Son of STING), PPP, SA-RA Creative Partners, RES, Vikter Duplaix, Rich Medina, and Dj Rashida (PRINCE). He’s played various venues with Dj residencies from Los Angeles to New York, including The W Hotel, The Standard, The Roosevelt Hotel, Temple Bar, King King, Zanzibar, House of Blues, Tillman’s NYC, SOB’s, Sin Sin, and Tripple Crown. His commitment to social causes and outreach is also apparent in the roster of foundations and agencies he works with such as: AIDS Project LA, Breast Cancer Society, Michael Comte's Shared Water Foundation, as well as Laubach Literacy. A-Ski got a taste of the radio industry in the area of broadcast production as a college intern at KCRW (working under the direction of Gary Calimar, Tom Schnabel and Jason Georges) during his days pursuing a degree in English. Between 2008-2006, A-Ski produced two radio shows on the NYC based WheatBread Radio (the nighttime soulful-eclectic themed "SUTRA" and his Thursday morning mix show "Unique74 Sessions"), and previously served as Creative Director/Producer and host of "Walk Talkin' Radio" for SCION/Broadband.

This is a guest set I had the pleasure of playing at one of my favorite parties in LA..The Do Over! A lot of good energy and dancing feet! A Very Special Thanks to Chris, Aloe, Jamie, Dj Lotuspetal, Lady Copper, ATU, Orlando (on percussion), T.I.M., OakLAnDetroitNY (yall got some ears!), and the entire Crane's Staff for holding me down, yall are the best!
This is a special mix inspired by a friend of a friend who recently had a b'day party. I was supposed to play her party and ended up double booking myself. However, a buddy of mine came up with the bright idea that I should hold the party down with a special mix. Thus, here is a collection of Soul gems straight out the crate (all vinyl) that I put together in this very mix I share with my you.
Ps: Big shout out to Jeff and Sharon (aka Shannon -)!
