Happy Halloween, and so long for now. Season 3 may be delayed into 2020 because I'm working on another project. Thanks for listening!

I had so many ghost stories from guests this year, I had to split up the Halloween episode in to TWO parts! How sweet is that?!
Part 1 features contributions from Leah Ottman, Sarah Bizek, Ted Held, Regan Smith, Taylor Baldry, and Tim Lovett.
Stay tuned for Part 2 in the coming weeks.
Luke is an author, artist, songwriter, and musician. The two of us met a number of years ago, likely at the 400 Bar. We spend a bit of time talking about the late Tom Sullivan. Peace be with you, Tom.

**This is the final episode of Season 2. Stay tuned for the Halloween Spectacular in October.
This week, we're back to the traditional format of Adult Friends. My good friend Ted and I had a chat about all things under the sun (which explains the run time).
Ted is in one of my favorite local bands, Wizards Are Real: https://wizardsarereal.bandcamp.com/.
Long before Aric and I met, I was a fan of his improv troupe, The Mustache Rangers. This Friday (June 7, 2019) at 7:30pm at Strike Theater in Minneapolis, go see the Mustache Rangers perform during the fundraiser for Huge Theater. Aric is also a contributor to another of my favorite improv teams in town, ShowX (Monday nights at Huge Theater).
Aric and Levi had me on as a guest to their podcast, Regret Labs, a couple years back: https://noisepicnic.com/our-lovely-podcasts/regretlabs/pitch-perception-podcast
... but we mostly talk about Aric's experience adopting a daughter.
Kate and I have run in the same music circles for a number of years (big surprise). Now, Kate and I have both chosen career paths in and around the world of healthcare. Kate's story involves small joys embedded in a web of complicated connections.
Jon and I met more than 10 years ago through Willie's American Guitars, but we just recently connected the dots between our respective adoption stories.
Leah is a fantastic musician, hilarious, and a great person to have over to your house for a podcast. She also happens to be adopted.
Sarah and I met during the Minneapolis Fringe Festival in 2006, but we haven't seen much of each other since then. Sarah has a great story... take a listen.
Pat and I were having a discussion among friends at the CC Club a couple months ago, when it came to our attention that both of us are/were/continue-to-be adopted. I've only hung out with Pat on one other occasion, but we had a lovely chat.
Nathan is one of the coolest guys on the planet. http://nathanhanson.com/
Kayleen and Scott became friends by way of first becoming unlikely roommates. They built a support system for each other that has lasted a long time, powerful enough that you can actually hear the connection in this conversation.
Sam and I met a long time ago, but we hadn't spent any one-on-one time together until this conversation. You may recognize Sam from "The Choo Choo Bob Show," but we mostly stick to the topics of friendship, moving, and dating.
The government might still be shut down, but Adult Friends is back for Season 2! Episodes will be released every two weeks this season, as the previous arrangement (every week) almost killed me.
I met Regan, Taylor, and Tim a number of years ago through Common Roots connections. In 2013, they started an organization called, "Grown Up Club," which facilitated activities for adults to get to know each other, such as the comedy exchange and the singles exchange. GUC is unfortunately no longer with us (RIP), but fortunately Regan, Taylor, and Tim survived.
Glad to be back. I hope you've been well.
Featuring appearances by John Burgess, Jacob Taintor, Ashley Camper, Lauren Kebschull, Lucy Michell, and Julie Bauch.
If you live in Minneapolis, join me at Icehouse on Saturday October 20th for a release show: https://www.icehousempls.com/events/2018/10/20/adamsvec.
The show is celebrating the release of a new album called "Sun Because" which you can stream here: https://adamsvec.bandcamp.com/album/sun-because
See you in January for Season 2 of Adult Friends.

Barbara moved to Minnesota three years ago, and we talked about her experiences in Massachusetts, New York, Indiana, and Minnesota.
This will be the final episode of Season 1. Watch out for a special Halloween episode in October. Season 2 will likely commence in January, 2019.
Yezih and I have been colleagues in multiples settings for a number of years, and in that time, it's become clear that Yezih is a fan of friendship. So, I asked him to have a chat with me about it.
Cole speaks of his early dreams to join Reel Big Fish, and then actually joined Godspeed You! Black Emperor on stage (not to mention, toured with Bon Iver). Noah is part of my favorite band in Minneapolis right now, Trombone Band. Also, Noah saw a ghost.
Plug for a show next week including this week's guest and I:
6/19 - Kitty Cat Klub (Minneapolis, MN) https://www.kittycatklub.net/music/
dVRG & PCP (deVon Russell Gray, Patrick Pegg)
Ghost Exploder (Christ Cunningham, John Keston, Greg Schutte, Adam Svec)
Lucy, Ashley, Lauren, and Julie brought the noise, I just provided beverages. You will enjoy the fervor with which these folks are friends.
