The New Jim Crow: Chapter Six - Part 2
Michelle Alexander argues that mass incarceration of people of color in the US constitutes the newest structure of racialized social control, replacing slavery and Jim Crow to create an African American undercaste. She argues that the vastly disproportionate imprisonment (and the resultant disenfranchisement and exclusion from numerous aspects of mainstream society such as education and employment) of African Americans constitutes the single most important impediment to equality and civil rights in the US. -Chapter Six, "The Fire This Time" - Part 2-

Armed Joy (part 1 of 2)

Armed Joy (part 1 of 2)
A great essay written by the Italian anarchist Alfredo M. Bonanno in 1977. Armed Joy compares his anarcho-insurrectionist comrades in Italy fighting the oppression imposed by the self-proclaimed revolutionaries of the time; to our own opportunity today to join together in joyful destruction and tear down each and every wall that oppresses and regulates ourselves and our world. After it was published the Italian supreme court ordered for this book to be burned, and Alfredo Bonanno was sentenced to eighteen months in prison for writing it.

Locked Up (Part 2 of 2)
An incredible book full of both sound reasoning and hysterical rantings written by the well-known anarchist author Alfredo M. Bonanno while he was imprisoned in the late 1990s. Locked Up is about his experiences in prisons, including a long discussion on the future of prisons and future deviants and criminals, and a serious critique of the prison abolition movement in relation to anarchy and its goals.
