This is a Back2theBasics Brief. Today, I was watching and listening to Al Jazeera English Live via YouTube and recorded parts of the Live. B1 and ADOS, we need to learn from the past to prepare for the future. I don't plagiarize, copyright infringe, steal, and/or take credit for this Brief. All the credit goes to Al Jazeera English. Love is defined in a biblical manner in 1 Corinthians 13:1-8. There are four types/levels of love: eros, storge, philia, and agape. In Matthew 27:45-54 Jesus displayed agape (self-less) love by dying on the cross for us to be reconciled with God, the Father. Jesus and God, the Father are the same person in John 10:30. There are various demostrations of love throughout the Bible:
Gen 18:23-33 Abraham intercedes on Sodom and Gomarrah's behalf for the Most High to not destroy the two cities
Gen 29:18-28 Jacob served another seven years to marry Rachel (eros/physical attraction love)
Gen 45: 1-15 Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, who had sold him into slavery, and made a plan to preserve the Israelites.
1 Samuel 20:11-24 Jonathan makes a covenant with David to protect him from his father Saul. Jonathan loved David as his own soul.
Ester 4:16-17, 5:1-2, 7:1-10 Before appearing unannounced in the King's court to petition on behalf of Israel, Ester prayed and fasted for three days.
Ruth 1: 16-22 Ruth (Naomi's daughter in law) decides to remain with Naomi and follow the Most High until death.

I read the self care assessment worksheet that is found on https://www.therapistaid.com. It focuses on five areas of self care: physical, psychological/emotional, social, spiritual, and professinal self care. Remember to practice self care beautiful people.

New York Governor Cuomo reports the good and bad of the Corona virus as to date 08 APR 2020. He cautioned that our behavior will determine future trends and death tolls. While the numbers appear to be plateauing, the single day death toll yesterday was 779 deaths. Also, paraphrasing from Governor Cuomo, the longer patients are on the ventilators, the more likely they are to die. We must do our part in social distancing, proper hygiene, sanitation, disinfection, hydration, and boost our immune systems with proper nutrition. While we should be avoiding dairy and meat products, we should also be eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, etc. Dr. T. Colin Campbell conducted an extensive study called the China Study which proves there is a correlation between eating a high consumption of meat and cancer. I encourage everyone to watch "Forks over Knives" on Netflix. Plant Pure nation and What the health are also on Netflix.

Exercise of challenging each negative thought with a positive affirmation. Positve affirmations are very powerful. It's been stated if something is repeated long enought, people will eventually believe it. Start by saying I love you to yourself in the mirror. Let positive affirmations build up your self-confidence!

What is Low Self-Esteem? The four components of self esteem are self confidence, identity, feeling of belonging, and competence.
