    She'll be representing Industrial Light and Magic.

    About Charmaine

    Charmaine Chan is an Associate Visual Effects Supervisor at Industrial Light and Magic. Originally born and raised in Hawaii, Charmaine studied at the University of California Irvine where she got a BA in Studio Art with a focus in photography and video production. Charmaine joined ILM in 2007 and with over 15 years of experience has worn many hats such as compositing, tech leading, and supervising across projects ranging from Transformers, Rango, Black Panther, Warcraft, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Charmaine has been helping innovate the Virtual Production world using real time rendering and LED screens on projects such as The Mandalorian, Andor, and the Batman. She is currently at the ILM London office supervising an upcoming sci-fi film.

    Based in Kilkenny, the studio is best known for its animated feature films The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, and The Breadwinner

    About GiovannaSince the early 2000s, Giovanna has worked on several feature films across Europe both as Storyboard Artist and Animator. After working in France for 10 years, she moved to Ireland and worked with Cartoon Saloon on a number of projects, including Song of The Sea, The Breadwinner, and Wolfwalkers. Recently she was Head of Story and Animation Director of Cartoon Saloon’s new feature film “My Father’s Dragon” produced by Netflix and directed by Nora Twomey.Giovanna’s storyboarding on "The Breadwinner" was awarded with an Emile Award in 2018. Giovanna is now working on Cartoon Saloon’s next feature film as a storyboard artist and consulting on the development of various other projects.

    Belfast is a 2021 Irish/British coming of age comedy-drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh. The film stars Caitríona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds, Colin Morgan, and newcomer Jude Hill. The film, which Branagh has described as his "most personal film", centres on a young boy's childhood in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the beginning of The Troubles in 1969.
