On the final episode of the school year for Beats on the Bricks, hosts Alex and Max talk about their favorite music to listen to during summer. They discuss a variety of artists, including Childish Gambino, Paul Simon and Gus Dapperton.

On this week’s “Beats on the Bricks,” hosts Alex and Max talk about the wild, weird, seemingly random story of Lil Nas X’s country-trap megahit “Old Town Road,” including its rise on TikTok, its initial entry onto the charts and the new remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.

The two also talk about the tragic recent deaths of rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle and the members and touring manager of British indie pop duo Her’s.

In lighter news, Alex and Max talk about Billie Eilish’s new album, 'WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?', as well as fresh singles from Vampire Weekend and Mac DeMarco, both of whom are set to release albums in early May.

On this week’s “Beats on the Bricks,” hosts Alex and Max chat about some recent releases in music, including the two new Vampire Weekend songs, “Sunflower” and “Big Blue,” as well as new singles from Tame Impala and the Black Keys, both of which are returning from years-long hiatuses.

Alex and Max also discuss music they listened to over Ohio University’s recent spring break, including music from Daft Punk, Current Joys and Gregory Alan Isakov.

Hosts Alex and Max chat about the Jonas Brothers’ return after six years of hiatus. They discuss the group’s new single, "Sucker," and the impact of 2000s-era Disney stars.

Alex and Max also talk about Frank Ocean and the Strokes and how both artists have dealt with restrictive record labels. Plus, in keeping with the episode’s discussion on boy bands, the two touch on "America’s favorite boy band": Brockhampton.

Hosts Alex and Max walk through the majority of Radiohead’s long catalog of albums and analyze each one. They first chat about the band’s debut, 'Pablo Honey,' and breakthrough song, "Creep." They then dive into 'The Bends,' 'OK Computer,' 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac' before concluding with Radiohead’s most recent album, 2016’s 'A Moon Shaped Pool.'

Later, Alex and Max chat about Nirvana just a few days after what would have been Kurt Cobain’s 52nd birthday. The two also discuss how YouTube can be used to discover music — even if that music is "Lo-fi Hip-Hop Radio to Relax/Study to."

On this week’s episode, hosts Alex and Max discuss this year’s Grammys, including their opinions on big wins for Kacey Musgraves, Cardi B and Greta Van Fleet. They also question whether or not the award show is relevant or comprehensive in the age of streaming.

The hosts also discuss their favorite new releases, including singles from Rex Orange County and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and albums from James Blake and Ariana Grande. They also touch on last weekend’s ACRN Emo Prom and the Feb. 8 show at The Union Bar & Grill that featured Water Witches, King Buu and Stems.

Plus, the hosts discuss and review the two new Vampire Weekend songs, “Harmony Hall” and “2021,” and the Haruomi Hosono sample used in the latter song.
