👉 Practical Tips on Sharing Your Faith 🗣️🕺🏻💃🏻

👉 Practical Tips on Sharing Your Faith 🗣️🕺🏻💃🏻

20 Practical Tips On Sharing Your Faith
    1. IT STARTS WITH PRAYER: Only God can change a heart, so prayer to God is your most effective method for evangelism.
    2. IDENTIFY YOUR FEARS: Do the work as a disciple to clearly identify your fears when it comes to sharing your faith and then work to surrender them to Jesus.
    3. INVITE OTHER BELIEVERS TO JOIN YOU: Just like Jesus sent His disciples out 2 by 2, we also aren’t designed to do this alone. Invite other believers to join you in prayer for the people in your life that don’t yet know Jesus.
    4. ALLOW SCRIPTURE TO INFORM YOU: Staying connected to God’s word will not only help you be more prepared to share the hope that you have, but it will also encourage you through many different examples where believers shared their faith in the midst of opposition and rejection.
    5. GO FISHING: We are all called to be “fishers of men”, but you don’t catch fish without intentionally going fishing. Be deliberate and live life on purpose.
    6. THERE ARE NO TROPHY FISH: There are over 8 billion people on planet earth. Don’t get so fixated and stuck on the few people who want nothing to do with the Good News of Jesus.
    7. STOP USING A SUNDAY SERVICE AS A CRUTCH: Don’t allow your main/only method of evangelism to be inviting people to church/worship gatherings. Go to the heart of the matter, and then church will begin to make a lot more sense to them.
    8. YOUR ACTIONS DETERMINE YOUR CREDIBILITY: Your actions must back up your Good News claim.
    9. SPEAK UP: Showing the Good News of Jesus is only as powerful in the long run as your willingness to verbally share the Good News of Jesus.
    10. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?: Realize and believe that you actually have nothing to lose by sharing the Good News of Jesus with others.
    11. WE ARE NOT BETTER THAN JESUS: Jesus experienced personal rejection...so if He did, than we will too. We are not better than Jesus.
    12. YOU ARE LIKELY THE FIRST GOSPEL THAT PEOPLE WILL READ: Most people won’t pick up the Bible and discover Jesus on their own, which means that you are likely many people’s first exposure to the Gospel.
    13. YOU ARE QUALIFIED: If you knew enough to decide to follow Jesus, then you know enough to share about Jesus with others. Be real about your story (both the good and the ugly).
    14. IT REALLY IS GOOD NEWS!: Do you genuinely believe that the Gospel is Good News? Jesus has us on a rescue mission and we are offering people love, forgiveness and eternal life. How awesome is that!?
    15. NO ONE LIKES A “KNOW-IT-ALL”: If you don’t know the answer to a question, then tell them that you don’t know, but that you’ll check into it and get back with them. They will respect your humility and honesty.
    16. GIVE PEOPLE THE CHOICE: Don’t decide for people if they’re interested in learning more about Jesus. Give people the opportunity and choice to accept or reject Jesus for themselves.
    17. SHOW THEM THAT YOU CARE: Be relational and show that you genuinely care about the people in your life.
    18. JESUS ALREADY DID THE SAVING: Your salvation does not rest on how many people you help bring to Jesus, so relax and share the Good News out of a place of joy and gratitude.
    19. ASK MORE QUESTIONS: Ask your hearer questions and listen to their thoughts. Their words and questions will give you lots of insight as to what they need or where they are stuck.
    20. IT’S EASY TO SHARE ABOUT WHAT YOU LOVE: Why would you be ashamed to talk about who you are and what matters most to you in your life.

Purpose in pain and to die is gain! 💪🏼 Philippians 1:19-26 - Verse by Verse with Better Equipped

Purpose in pain and to die is gain! 💪🏼 Philippians 1:19-26 - Verse by Verse with Better Equipped

What is your purpose in life? What is your purpose in pain? Do you fear death or think that death (in Christ) will only be gain for you, as you will inherit eternal life? The Apostle Paul, who writes this letter to the Philippians while sitting in a Roman prison, takes us behind the scenes to his internal processing and perspective. Can we have the same purpose and outlook on life and death? Yes we can!

🤺 What to do about Jealous & Competitive Christians or Churches? - Philippians 1:15-18

🤺 What to do about Jealous & Competitive Christians or Churches? - Philippians 1:15-18

It deeply saddens me to see Christians or Churches be jealous or competitive toward other Christians or Churches, but according to the Apostle Paul, it is nothing new, as he experienced this issue while he was stuck in a Roman prison for sharing the Gospel. So, how do we deal with the terrible attitude of Christians who have selfish motives and bad heart postures? According to Paul, we still rejoice because Christ's name is being proclaimed! Isn't that tough!? It sure is for me. I hope that you will be blessed as we dive into Philippians 4:15-18:
"15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the Gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,"

📄 Flip the Script on Suffering & Amplify your Testimony of the Gospel! - Philippians 1:12-14

📄 Flip the Script on Suffering & Amplify your Testimony of the Gospel! - Philippians 1:12-14

None of us enjoy suffering, rejection, or persecution, but what if those are some of the most powerful vehicles for amplifying the Gospel? Are you ok with that plan of God in your life? You can either experience those things for no good reason, or you can use those experiences with the purpose of pointing more people to Jesus. Your call, but either way you will experience suffering in this life.

The Apostle Paul is in chains for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, yet he is allowing God to use his suffering to help advance the Gospel and to encourage other believers to be even more encouraged to share their faith with others as well.

Who needs more JOY? 🙋‍♂️ 🙋‍♀️ Book of Philippians → Intro to Philippians & Chapter 1:1-11

Who needs more JOY? 🙋‍♂️ 🙋‍♀️ Book of Philippians → Intro to Philippians & Chapter 1:1-11

How much joy, hope, peace, and love would you have if you were in prison for sharing the Gospel of Jesus with others? How much humility would you have if you were in prison for those reasons, and other believers were trying to drag your name through the mud? The Apostle Paul is dealing with all of these things and more as he writes this letter to the people of God in Philipi. There is so much that we can learn through the apostle Paul's teachings and attitude/outlook on life, especially in the midst of trials and persecution. I hope that you will journey along with me as I help guide us verse by verse through the book of Philippians. Be sure to like, subscribe, and share it out with others.

Has anyone ever shared the Gospel of Jesus with you? What is the Gospel? - Questions with Strangers

In this episode of "Questions with Strangers", Cody asks 3 strangers the questions: Has anyone ever shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with you? If so, what is the Gospel?

Have most people truly heard the Gospel of Jesus, or do they just have a rough idea of Christians and churches through various experiences and media? For those who say that they do know (or believe) in this Gospel, can they accurately articulate it? Is it the same Gospel as the one explicitly taught to us in the New Testament? Let's find out...

Spiritual Warfare: How Do I Put On The "FULL ARMOR OF GOD"? - Ephesians 6:10-24 - Verse By Verse

Spiritual Warfare: How Do I Put On The "FULL ARMOR OF GOD"? - Ephesians 6:10-24 - Verse By Verse

The Apostle Paul tells us to put on the full armor of God for the spiritual warfare in our lives and world, but what does that mean and how do we do that? In this episode of Verse by Verse, Cody will walk us through Ephesians 6:10-24, along with other passages that teach us about the nature of spiritual warfare, so that you can be Better Equipped for fight the fight of faith!

    Ephesians 6:10-24
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
21 Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. 22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you.
23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

In this episode of "Questions with Strangers", Cody asks the question: If I could prove that Christianity is true, would you become a Christian? This question shows that it is often a matter of the heart, not the head, when it comes to people's decision to accept or reject the Gospel of Jesus.

Your Work & Your Parenting: Require humility and submission to Christ and to others. Ephesians 6:1-9

Your Work & Your Parenting: Require humility and submission to Christ and to others. Ephesians 6:1-9

Your job in your workplace & your parenting toward your children BOTH require humility and submission to Christ and to others. This may sound difficult because it usually is difficult. Your going to need to rely heavily on the work and power of the Holy Spirit and the example of Jesus and His attitude.

    Ephesians 6:1-9
"1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him."

👺 Does Evil Exist & Who Gets To Decide What Is Right & Wrong? 😇

👺 Does Evil Exist & Who Gets To Decide What Is Right & Wrong? 😇

Do you believe that there is EVIL in this world? Who got to decide that it was evil or wrong? Do you get to decide that, or does God get to decide that? Is there a standard for morality and truth, or is it every person for themselves, which would imply that Hitler was just another guy who thought that he was doing the right thing by killing 6 million people. Really?!? I'm going with God's definition of what is right and wrong, good and evil. How about you?

Jesus said in John 18:37 - "In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the TRUTH. Everyone on the side of TRUTH listens to me.” May we listen to HIM 👆🏼

👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️ HELP For Your Marriage! God's Design for a THRIVING Marriage: Ephesians 5:21-33 🔥

👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️ HELP For Your Marriage! God's Design for a THRIVING Marriage: Ephesians 5:21-33 🔥

Marriage can be so difficult, especially when we lose sight (or are unaware) of God's design for marriage. We can't look to the culture's definition of what a marriage should look like (ie: Hollywood), but we must fix our eyes on the designer of marriage, God!

In today's Verse by Verse, Cody will walk us through Ephesians 5:21-33, which is all about God's design for marriage. Read through this passage below:

    Ephesians 5:21-33
"21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."

👶 PRO LIFE or PRO ABORTION?? ☠️ - Cody asks random strangers why they are FOR or AGAINST abortion 🎤

👶 PRO LIFE or PRO ABORTION?? ☠️ - Cody asks random strangers why they are FOR or AGAINST abortion 🎤

Cody from Better Equipped visits the Ohio March for Life 2023 to talk with random strangers about the topic of abortion and why they are for or against abortion. Are they pro life or pro choice? Are they against abortion, or for abortion? What is their reasoning and logic (if any) behind their view. WHAT SHOULD YOU BELIEVE on the critically important topic of abortion.

I am PRO LIFE and want to do what I can to protect the "least of these" who are most vulnerable and helpless. I believe that we are made in God's image and that we are created by God, being known by God before conception, and being fearfully and wonderfully made as we are knit together in our mother's womb by God (Psalm 139:13-16):

    13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
    14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
        your works are wonderful,
        I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
    16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
