    Betting the Limit is a sports business podcast hosted by Drew Shore. Drew retired from professional hockey in 2021 and is now representing players as a sports agent. The podcast focuses on retired athletes who have been able to successfully pivot into the business world. As an athlete, you are constantly being bet on by someone else. Retirement is when it’s time to get out of your comfort zone and bet on yourself.

Christian was the 12th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and went on to play for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and the Denver Broncos. He threw 38 touchdown passes before retiring in 2016. He is currently the CEO and Founder of The Post, an invite-only leadership network built by athletes, for athletes.

Through his resilience, work ethic, and positive attitude, he was able to overcome every obstacle that was thrown in his path. He was even forced to change sports, but that didn’t stop him from becoming a gold medalist in the 2018 Winter Olympics. It is impossible to listen to his story without feeling inspired.

I really enjoyed talking to Andrew about retiring from basketball after playing at Boston University and instantly finding success in his next venture.

    On Episode 2 of Betting the Limit, Drew is joined by the head coach of the University of Denver hockey team, Dave Carle. As a result of a rare heart condition, Dave was forced to retire from playing hockey right before his NHL Draft. Last month, he led the Denver Pioneers to their 9th National Championship. At the age of 32, he is the youngest coach to accomplish this in the last 44 years.
