Episode 12 of the infeCtious podcast comes from Francesco Dinoia and is full of some absolutely awesome techno! If you like ourselves love the naughty sound of techno, then you'll absolutely love this one. :) Francesco Dinoia is a DJ and Producer who was born in 1996 in Barletta on the South of Italy. At an early age when he was only thirteen, he began to interest himself in the role of a DJ, and with the passage of time he gradually developed a real passion to become a one. When he reached fifteen years of age and after a lot of work and dedication he delved into the world of production and he soon started to produce the music that he liked so much, deep tech-house tracks. He then started to sign with various record labels for the release of his own music. Shortly after, his own name began to become widely known in the small region where he hails from, playing in various local large events and festivals. Francesco is still very young and has a life ahead of him that will allow him to improve even more in his field. However, let his music to do the talking for him. This week's guest mix comes from the legendary duo Prok & Fitch. We were lucky enough to DJ with these two in Chester a few weeks ago and we're really excited about the guest mix they've made for us! Tipped by the national media as ‘One To Watch’ in 2009, Prok & Fitch have more than proved the journalists’ predictions right. The hottest DJ/producer pairing in house music have chalked up an impressive array of achievements in the past twelve months, including rocking the main room at Amnesia in Ibiza, touring Brazil and Australia and releasing both critically acclaimed and dancefloor-approved tracks. Now focussing on their original productions, Ben Prok and James Fitch’s works have been signed to some of the biggest names in the business: Axwell’s Axtone, Toolroom Records, CR2, Stealth and more. With serious and diverse support from the likes of Steve Angello, Paul Van Dyk and Carl Cox, there’s few clubs worldwide which haven’t witnessed the Prok & Fitch reaction. The boys have also been remixing for some heavy duty names including Laidback Luke, Gregor Salto, Ministry Recordings and Strictly Rhythm. Their own imprint, Floorplay Music continues to sign strong projects too, notably a smash from ATFC & David Penn - there’s no doubt that Prok & Fitch is becoming the byword for superior skills in quality house music. Floorplay Music is much more than a record label though – it’s a way of life and with formidable names like ATFC & David Penn already involved, there’s no doubt that Floorplay is becoming the byword for superior tracks in quality house music. Floorplay parties have quickly become stuff of late night legend. What started off as a small label showcase night has turned into regular roadblocks and consistant sell outs in Brighton, Dubai and London. The Guardian, Mixmag, IDJ and DJ magazine have all proclaimed Floorplay to be the ‘best night in the South’ and it’s easy to see why – guests have included Dirty Vegas, Chris Lake, Mark Knight... the list just goes on. Prok & Fitch have been rinsing their passports this year too – spinning at Dubai superclub Sanctuary, rocking the main stage of the Sneakerz festival in Antwerp and the Free Your Mind festival in Holland, as well as Ibiza, Australia and Brazil. Closer to home, the boys have also fulfilled one of their lifetime ambitions: to spin in the Wild Fruit arena at Brighton’s infamous Pride festival, which attracts over a quarter of a million revellers over one weekend. With massive plans afoot for Prok & Fitch and Floorplay over the coming months – it’d be fair to say they’re still the ‘ones to watch’ in 2010 and beyond..... This weeks guest mix comes from Coventry based duo Anti-Slam & W.E.A.P.O.N. and is filled with their groovy tech house sounds. Anti-Slam & W.E.A.P.O.N. are brothers (Jonny & James Herriott) from Coventry, UK. Formed in 2010, they have been quickly gaining pace with their distinctive, groove-driven Tech House and Techno sound. With massive support from some of the biggest artists in the scene, including Umek (who signed them to his label, 1605 Music Therapy), Mark Knight, Sam Paganini, Slam and many more. He was a UK finalist in the Movida Corona international dj contest and was awarded 'Best Newcomer' by the Ibiza Clubbing Guide in 2013. The first in our series of guest mixes to hit the infeCtious Podcast with Jak-In-House, bringing you some groovy beasts to get you in the mood for the summer that awaits us! Having rocked dancefloors for over a decade now Jak-In-House has become a regular on the DJ circuit. His high octane performances consisting of Deep/ Tech-House and Techno have received accolades from some big name DJ's , promoters and most importantly clubbers. He has been a regular at nights such as Breakbeat Science, Redefined, The Vinyl Solution, Sub Kutz, Tweek, Bassquake, Lineout and his very own club night 'Elements'. Jak has also been a big part of 'the Workhouse festival/project that has helped revamp the picturesque venue having played there consistently over the last 8 years.
