This week we’re reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – The Hunger Games prequel – by Suzanne Collins.

We’re talking the things that don’t quite land, how hard it is to write a prequel and getting trapped by the magic of a hit series.

We’re also talking about the difference between characters you love and people you like, some of the easter eggs we were hoping to find in the novel and whether or not the musical element will land in the film adaption.

Harley is once again plotting the novel she wishes she’d read and Holly is trying to figure out who’s manipulating who in this story.

This week we’re taking a stab at the questions we hear a lot.

We’re answering it all and going into detail about our natural reading habits, how we make consuming stories work for us and why we don’t have an editor as well as the pros and cons of being in the beginner stage of podcasting.
