Steelers Depot's Alex Kozora joins the "Bleav in Steelers" show with host Mark Bergin to discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' plan for the quarterback position in 2024.

Kozora believes Kenny Pickett will compete for the team's starting quarterback position with another veteran like Mason Rudolph or Ryan Tannehill. Pickett will likely get the first opportunity to start in 2024.

The guys discuss the role new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith will play in the development of the quarterback position.

They also talk about which teams the Steelers could potentially compete for in a trade for Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields. Bergin explains why he doesn't think many teams want to trade for Fields, and how that could diminish what the Bears get in return for him.

Pittsburgh Steelers announcers Bill Hillgrove and Craig Wolfley joined the "Bleav in Steelers" show as guests. Hillgrove is retiring after 30 years as the voice of the Steelers.

The guys discuss how Hillgrove announced his retirement in an interview with his grandson.

Wolfley, who serves as the Steelers color analyst and played for the team in the 1980s, shared what it's like to share the booth with the elder Hillgrove.

The guys shared their favorite memories broadcasting Steelers football. It included the win over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl 43. It also included the difficulties of traveling to Super Bowl 45 in Arlington, Texas.

Last, Hillgrove said he doesn't think the trade for Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields makes sense for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The guys shared how they'd like to see the Steelers use the 20th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on a center. Oregon's Jackson Powers-Johnson and West Virginia's Zach Frazier are possibilities.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin shares his thoughts from day three of the 2024 NFL Combine.

Texas WR Xavier Worthy broke the record in the 40-yard dash, running it in 4.21 seconds.

Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze ran a 4.45-second 40-yard dash. He is expected to be a top 10 pick.

LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr. ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds.

Other standouts included FSU's Keon Coleman, UNC's Tez Walker and Georgia's Ladd McConkey.

Bergin describes the QBs who stuck out Saturday, which included Michigan's J.J. McCarthy, Washington's Michael Penix and South Carolina's Spencer Rattler.

Bergin also shares his standout DBs from Friday, which includes Clemson's Nate Wiggins, Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell and Alabama's Terrion Arnold.

Last, he comments on the linebackers working out Thursday, including the standout performance by NC State's Payton Wilson.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin discusses which teams Baker Mayfield could sign with for the 2024 season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers remain a longshot considering how much money that Mayfield would want, how it would designate Kenny Pickett to a backup role and how the Steelers are $6 million over the salary cap as of Feb. 21.

The list includes re-signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He could also sign with the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings or the New England Patriots.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is due to go into the final year of his contract in the 2024 season. After the game, Tomlin didn't answer a question from ESPN Brooke Pryor about it either.

On Monday, the Steelers lost the turnover battle 2-0 and time of possession.

The Bills had the ball for 33 minutes and 19 seconds.

Bergin shares his thoughts from the game, in which the Steelers went down 21-0 in the first half. He also outlines his roadmap for the Steelers' offseason.

"Bleav in Steelers" hosts Ike Taylor and Mark Bergin discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' NFL Wild Card matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

The Steelers are a 9.5-point underdog, according to BetOnline.ag.

Mason Rudolph has led the Steelers to three straight wins to finish the 2023 regular season. Rudolph will likely start again against the Bills.

Najee Harris has had back-to-back 100-yard games for the first time in his Steelers' career.

The guys also discuss the contributions of the Steelers' rookies: Broderick Jones, Joey Porter Jr., Keeanu Benton, Darnell Washington and Nick Herbig.

Meanwhile, the Bills have won five consecutive games. Josh Allen's 18 interceptions were the second-most in the NFL during the regular season.

The Steelers will be without star edge T.J. Watt who is out with a grade two MCL sprain in his knee. Rookie Nick Herbig and Markus Golden will fill the void along with Alex Highsmith.

Safety Damontae Kazee is expected back for the Steelers after a suspension. The Steelers could also get Minkah Fitzpatrick back from a knee injury.

Last, the guys talk about Mike Tomlin's 17-year tenure with the Steelers in which he hasn't had a season where the team finishes below .500.

Tomlin's Steelers haven't won a playoff game since January 2017, but the team finished the 2023 season with a 10-7 record. The Steelers' offense has struggled in the last several years too.

Bergin asks whether Tomlin should have played Rudolph over Mitch Trubisky sooner, but explains the rationale behind the decision.

Bergin outlines the Steelers' path to the playoffs.

The guys also discuss Mike Tomlin's 17-year tenure as head coach of the Steelers. Tomlin has never had a season below .500.

However, Tomlin's offenses have struggled in recent years. The Steelers haven't won a playoff game since January 2017.

Mason Rudolph is due to make his third start of the season for the Steelers. Bergin discusses how Rudolph has developed a connection with George Pickens.

Bergin also shares his thoughts on the rumors Kenny Pickett refused to be the Steelers' backup in the Week 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks. He discusses how Tomlin handled the quarterback position between Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky when Pickett was out for several weeks with an ankle injury.

Bergin also shares why thinks the Steelers will win with quarterback Lamar Jackson and several Ravens players resting. The Ravens have already secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC North.
