You don't have to be politically correct to be heard there, but they don't want any shows that have to use profanity or vulgarity to try and deliver their message. ------------------------------ As I get older, I find that life is going past my “field of view” at an ever increasing speed. This medium of podcasting allows me to use a personal touch -- that of my own voice – to slow down and share a few items I think of interest or sometimes a specific story with a valuable lesson. In some cases, I may “spin a yarn” from my own memories to grandchildren and other friends in hopes that we may all benefit. You’re welcome to “listen in”. Thanks for listening, Bob

    "Good Day" and Goodbye
A national treasure has gone the way of all the earth. Paul Harvey has died. Radio will never be the same. I'm still stunned in learning of Mr. Harvey's death. Like others in this great nation, I grew up glued to the radio when his radio show came on. Although I never met Paul Harvey, I count him as a friend and I will miss him greatly. "Paul Harvey was one of the most gifted and beloved broadcasters in our nation's history," so says ABC Radio Networks President Jim Robinson -- and I agree. I also know that Paul Harvey is happy to once again be in the company of his wife Angel who preceded him in death. Listen to Paul's voice one last time.

Colbert Report: During an interview on Comedy Central's "Colbert Report", former Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan compared the Iraq war to World War II. Buchanan, who was promoting his new book, said that both wars could have been avoided, and that Germany and Iraq "did not threaten the United States." Buchanan went on to say that he "does not believe a war with Iran is necessary", and disagrees with John McCain about meeting with Iran, saying "we outta talk to the Iranians."

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. The Senate's leading climate-change bill, while aiming to combat global warming by reducing carbon dioxide in the air, actually poses "extraordinary perils" for Americans and the economy, according to a new study from The Heritage Foundation. NPR Interview with Ronald Kessler, chief Washington correspondent for NewsMax.com and author of The Terrorist Watch: Inside the Desperate Race to Stop the Next Attack "A powerful and brave book. Kessler makes it clear that if we win this war, it will be because of the FBI and CIA professionals who have protected America since 9/11. If we lose the war, it will be because of distortions by the mainstream media, those who leak operational secrets to them, and politicians who undermine those who are trying to protect us." —R. James Woolsey, former director of Central Intelligence
