A podcast hosted by Mitch Williams and Sam McGhee, of Inland Film Co., creators of the #DAILYREEL. Mitch and Sam discuss small shop filmmaking, commercial and documentary work, storytelling, and more. DISCLAIMER: Audio isn't up to par this week, as this is the first time Mitch and Sam have invited a guest on the show. The content, however, is GOLD. In this installment, Sam and Mitch sit down with Composer, and Cinematographer, Kevin Graham, and discuss music in film, what it was like writing the score for the film Fight! (2018). Mitch, Sam, and Kevin talk about Artlist, and other music subscription services, but most specifically their mutual relationship with Artlist, and a project each of them are working on together. Kevin shares where his inspiration for music comes from. Mitch poses a question about having to choose being a DP or Composer, and Kevin shares his thoughts on that. Sam begins a discussion around using iPhone footage in film, which leads to a larger discussion around using someone else’s footage in a film, period.
