    Ep 15- Pan's Labyrinth

    Ep 15- Pan's Labyrinth

This episode is all about the Spaniards.  Literally.  We discuss a popular movie set in Spain, that was shot completely in Spanish with English Subtitles.  We were pretty mind blown too.  Besides being stoked about hearing something outside of English, we were also pretty excited about the costumes and the fairies and Alx's imaginary friends... you can ask her about it.  She doesn't mind.

    Ep 14-Coco

    Ep 14-Coco

A short sweet vignette of one of our favorite animated movies... Also, there's some talk of parenting styles, growing up second gen, following your dreams, being patient in relationships, multiple reasons to love (and hate) Disney, and Alx shares a sweet moment.  Carlos too but like mostly Alx.

    Ep 11- Bodied

    Ep 11- Bodied

Today we breach the movie Bodied, found on Youtube Red and produced by Eminem.  A story rich with the elements of the underground rap battle game, we delve into topics surrounding the racial tensions in the movies.  What is racist/sexist?  What is Rap culture?  Are racial prejudices exacerbated in music?  And the ever popular: is it possible to have an internal black woman as your identity if you yourself are another race?

No.  In case you were wondering, the answer is no.

Ep 10- Back to the Future

Ep 10- Back to the Future

In this special episode, we talk about some of the themes of the heart warming classic, Back to the Future.  We discuss hit topics like: "Where were the parents in 80s movies", "The importance of the Bromance", and the ever popular "Don't say racist *insert expletive here* if you don't want to get knocked out."

Special dedication to Carlos' father: Edin Alvarez, thank you for the many gifts and talents you left behind.  We'll carry you with us always.
