Start Up Practice: 1 Year Recap

Start Up Practice: 1 Year Recap

I cannot believe it has been a whole year of my start up orthodontic practice! The time has flown by, but it also seems like it has been a journey! One of my main struggles this year was trying to find hard data on how the practice should be doing. Now that I have completed a full year of practice, I've decided to share our end of year stats, how I'm feeling, and some of our goals for next year.

It has been a great year and I can't wait to see how we do in year 2! I hope this helps shed some light on my experience and provide a basis of comparison for anyone else interested in doing something similar.

People always think I have it all figured out and that's how I was able to open my own orthodontic practice right out of residency. The truth is, I didn't have all the answers and I still don't, but I took the risk and went for it.

3 Simple Mindset Shifts for a Better 2021

3 Simple Mindset Shifts for a Better 2021

2020 has been a trying year for all of us. I have grown a lot as a young doctor this year and I owe that to a few simple mindset shifts. I really internalized three phrases that we hear all the time:

-You can't control others, just the way you think and react
-Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself
-No matter what you're feeling, you're not alone

I hope that the podcast can be a source of information and support for you going into the new year.
