Confessions with Mayra

Special guest (Evely Joy Vasquez) joins us this podcast in continuation of our previous episode on the topic "Teaching our Kids to Love Others". We hope this can encourage you to talk, teach, and demonstrate what love is to our little ones, no matter what age. What God has shown and given us is not for us to hoard, but to make it known to our coming generation.

How can we teach our kids even in this age to love others? Some, God makes them courageous. Some, God makes them compasionate. Some, God gives a voice and influence to lead in the way of love. What has God given your kid(s)? How can you help them grow in what God has given them, IN LOVE?

It's one thing to love your neighbor, (co-workers, freinds, others, etc.), but what about your own family. Loving your siblings can almost seem automatic, but is it? Listen in as Mayra unfolds this "Loving our siblings well", even through tensions, disagreements, and bad experiences; when they are difficult to love as well as when YOU are difficult to love. What is the secret to loving our siblings (neighbors) as we "love ourselves"?

How can we love God in the workplace? Do we leave our faith at home and at church? Listen in as Mayra and special guest (Sean Shryock) dive in to loving the continuation of this season, Loving God and Loving People. How we can continue our pursue of Godliness even in the workplace.

Have you ever asked yourself if you are a good freind? It's easy for us to hold others at a standard, but when we ask this question we will see we ourselves can't hold up. Listen as Mayra confesses to a hard lesson learned in friendship. The true joy of friendship is the privalege of "Being A Friend".

Ever had a co-worker that you felt difficult to work with? Were you ever the co-worker that was difficult to work with? "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil. 4:13). Can that verse mean more than physical abilities; and also mean character response such as forgiveness, mercy, and love? Listen in as Mayra confesses one of her major issues once experienced in the workplace with a difficult co-worker. How should we respond? How do you respond?

How long does it take and what is the process to grow in mature love for God, your neighbor, and yourself? Listen in as Mayra and special guest, Maria Caballero walk through some examples of our journey and the process of growing in love for self and one another. The journey is the process necessary for every season of our lives that will get us to perfect love.

What is the best way to love yourself and where can you start? In order to answer this, we have to start with our Creator. EVERYTHING He made is good. Listen in as Mayra helps us understand the foundation of loving ourselves (if we want to love God and others) through giving ourselves to God, our lover and our maker. He is for you; not against you.

In this special ephisode, we took a break on this season's topic of "Loving God is Loving People", and dedicate this special podcast to Mayra's aunt, "Tia Anni", as well as to all those who fibnd themselves bedridden, AND to all the caregivers. Becuase of Jesus, we have hope. And this hope is not devoid or disapointing, but is our ANCHOR and CONFORT. Listen in as Mayra and special guest, Isaac, share on this hope we have in Christ Jesus. This world is not our home.

In this season, Mayra has been taking us through practical ways we can love God, our neighbors, and ourselves. In this ephisode Mayra (and special guest) conitnue with loving ourselves. Another way of loving yourself is being accountable and taking responsability for your actions. Listen in as Mayra and Isaac talk through how we can love ourselves by being accountable.

A major way we can learn to love ourselves is by taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Your health plays a significant role in first loving yourself to be able to love others. Listen in as Mayra give wisdom, insight, and confessions on practical ways we ought to love ourselves as we love our neighbor.

Putting the first things first. The first commandment is the most important. But what does it mean to "Love your neighbor as yourself"? Listen in as Mayra shares the importance of loving ourselves, not through our own opinion, but through God's narative about us through His Word!

We are finally back and ready for our new season (season 4) where we will be conversating with the reality of Loving God and Loving People; the confessions (good and bad) about walking this out in our daily lives. What is Hope? It's not a what, but a who. Even though things may not go to "our favor", there is still a greater hope than what we desire to obtain or get. It's Him!
