The Enneagram of Liberation with Gabes Torres (Enneagram 3)

I am simply in love with today's episode. I got the chance to sit down with my dear friend Gabes Torres to talk about what part the Enneagram plays in our collective liberation as well as her life as a migrant woman of color living and studying in the United States. Here's more about Gabes:

Gabes is a researcher, theologian, speaker, singer-songwriter, and psychotherapist in training. Her life’s work is to show how there’s nothing “post-” about postcolonialism, and that the effects of historical and oppressive conquest continue to manifest in the ideologies, cultures, languages, literature, human behaviors, inter- and intrapersonal relationships, and spiritual practices we have today.

Gabes is creating and sustaining efforts to decolonize the mind, body, spirit, and relationships through her work in psychotherapy, academia, music, poetry, speaking engagements, and other platforms for social activism.

You can learn more about Gabes on www.gabestorres.com, and you have the power to help her in continuing her work of decolonization by supporting and/or sharing www.gofundme.com/help-Gabes-Stay

Moments of Clarity with Jess G (Enneagram 3)

On today's podcast I have the honor of sitting down with Jessica Goulding, lovingly known as Jess G. We talk about yoga and dance, parenting and the Universe, all through the lens of being an Enneagram 3. This episode is rich and full of laughs, and I had a blast in this interview. Here's more about Jess:

Jessica Goulding (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, YACEP) has been in the body and movement world for thirty years. As a public yoga class teacher, she guides her students through breath, movement, and meditation in order to know themselves better and how they relate to the world.  As a yoga therapist, she takes the tools of yoga to an individual experience, creating custom yoga practices that help clients reach their personal goals in managing pain, healing injury, easing anxiety, and improving sleep and digestion, among many other things. Jessica’s podcast, Ready, Get Centered, Go! brings short, intention-setting and mind-settling talks and guidance to audiences everywhere.  Her keen eye for body mechanics, quick wit, easy laugh, and depth of understanding of the yogic teachings make yoga classes and yoga therapy with Jessica both informative and fun.

Mind Body Connection with Zahra Mohamed Ali (Enneagram 2)

This week I sit down with my favorite internet stalker, Zahra Mohamed Ali! I met Zahra at the International Enneagram Association's Global Conference this July and she is just a TOTAL BADASS. We have an awesome converastion about Yoga and the Enneagram and then near the end we take a fun little detour into what sobriety has offered our spiritual journeys.

    Here's more about Zahra:

Zahra Mohamed Ali is a certified Enneagram coach, yoga teacher, and writer based in Orlando, FL. She helps her clients integrate their mind, heart, and body so they can be at home in their bodies, experience deeper self awareness, and live in alignment with their purpose. She’s completed trainings with Ginger Lapid-Bodga and The Enneagram Institute for her coaching certification and is undertaking her 300 hr yoga certification with Susanna Barkataki. Currently she works one-on-one with both coaching and yoga clients and runs workshops that help clients integrate the knowledge of the Enneagram with the body awareness of yoga.

Relational Transformation with Darin McKenna (Enneagram 2)

Relational Transformation with Darin McKenna (Enneagram 2)

This week I sit down with Darin McKenna to talk about the Enneagram, coming out, planting churches, and developing personal boundaries. Here's more about Darin:

Darin McKenna is a queer pastor and enneagram teacher living in Pasadena, CA. He pastors at New Abbey Church, an inclusive community that is doing the work to figure out what faith looks like in a place like Los Angeles in 2019. Darin is passionate about using the enneagram to help people become aware to themselves, particularly the queer community. To him, the enneagram is just one tool that contributes to a broader movement towards queer liberation. In his spare time, Darin likes to read, drink some coffee or whiskey, head to the beach, go on a hike, and watch Pitch Perfect over and over and over.

The Cultural Intersections of the Enneagram with Leanette Pokuwaah (Enneagram 9)

The Cultural Intersections of the Enneagram with Leanette Pokuwaah (Enneagram 9)

Today on the podcast I sit down with Leanette Pokuwaah to talk about the ways in which our culture plays into our Enneagram types, as well we effective ways each of use can move to create more socially aware spaces by understanding our types.

    Here's more about Leanette:

My name is Leanette Pokuwaah (Pronouns she/her). I am a justice seeker and my faith is ever so intertwined with the work I do. I am a writer, teacher, and coach. I want to share with you all a little bit about who I am and why this platform exists. As a first-generation Ghanaian woman, I wanted to be able to create and teach Enneagram content that sought to center the stories and voices of people of color and others that are traditionally placed at the margins.

The Enneagram is a powerful pathway toward spiritual growth and for personal and professional development. I have been able to write, teach and coach through an intersectional lens. My unique intersectional approach centering queer people of color is deeply transformative. The opening of spaces for folks to uncover their whole selves through the recollection, reflection, and retracing of their stories is so powerful and healing.

Each gathering or session paves the path for storytelling that is graced with the voices of others once muted and bodies once unseen that create a space for us all to feel fully heard, seen, loved and known.

The Enneagram and Parenting with Catie Bilz (Enneagram 8)

The Enneagram and Parenting with Catie Bilz (Enneagram 8)

Today on Conscious Construction I sit down with my friend, Catie Bilz, to talk about life, parenting, and becoming a mother all through the lens of the Enneagram.

    Here's more about Catie:

Catie Bilz M.Ed, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor working in private practice, as well as a teacher and coach of the Enneagram. Throughout Catie’s career as a therapist, she has worked with individuals ranging the lifespan. Having entered Enneagram work through meditation and mindfulness practice, these themes are the basis of therapeutic work with individuals and couples. Catie is trained in the Narrative Tradition, both as a teacher and as a professional working one on one with clients. She runs the Instagram account @enneawakening. When she’s not engaging in Enneagram work, she is spending time with her baby, her partner, and her animals in Michigan.

The Enneagram and Mental Health with Chichi Agorom (Enneagram 4)

The Enneagram and Mental Health with Chichi Agorom (Enneagram 4)

On this week's episode of Conscious Construction I have the extreme pleasure of sitting with my good friend and Narrative Enneagram buddy Chichi Agorom to talk about her journey with the Enneagram, her work as a mental health counselor, and effective ways we can work with the Enneagram and mental health.

    Here's more about Chichi:

I’m Chichi Agorom, a curious observer of people whose fascination with the experience of being human on a journey toward wholeness and purpose led me to studying the Enneagram. I am a trained teacher in The Narrative Tradition which prioritizes the felt experience and voices of participants, and I also hold a Coaching Certificate from The Enneagram in Business which focuses on the uses of the Enneagram in organizations. I also earned an MA in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Couples & Family Therapy so when I’m not working with the Enneagram, I spend my days working with individuals, couples, and families to cultivate self-awareness and move towards authenticity, wholeness, and joy.

My life’s work is to help people feel less alone & more known, and to create spaces that increase connection & compassion in an increasingly divided world. The Enneagram is an excellent tool to achieve that, and so is hosting gatherings. That’s why I’m here, and I warmly invite you into the practice of becoming yourself more fully while learning to hold deep compassion for all that you find in the process.
