From The Biggest Online Marketplace To The Biggest FinTech Platform for Sudan
We are joined today by Tarneem (Nina) Saeed, CEO of Cashi. Cashi is an operator of digital payments borne out of Alsoug, a digital marketplace platform intended to provide financial and classified services in Sudan. The company's platform allows users to list their products on the platform and provides a financial wallet for transactions, enabling users to buy, sell and rent different products of their choice. Cashi recently received $5mil in funding from institutional investors, the first and largest of its kind in over 30 years since sanctions were lifted in Sudan. They are on a mission to not only reshape the landscape of startups in the region but transform the entire e-commerce value chain and provide the first platform of its kind to facilitate plug and play digital payments in the country.
