JEEPERS CREEPERS UNSEEN - Official Trailer

JEEPERS CREEPERS UNSEEN - Official Trailer

Jeepers Creepers is an iconic horror franchise spawning twenty years, four films, and a passionate fanbase. But its community has become increasingly divided as public awareness surrounding its creator’s disturbing crime continues to rise.

The new podcast JEEPERS CREEPERS UNSEEN unearths this controversial franchise by reviving its past, contextualizing the harm perpetuated by the creator, and taking an honest look at why this property is so important to so many horror fans. With a fourth movie hailing from new filmmakers, I’m here to ask if a well-loved film series can reckon with history and thrive, or is now the time to move on?

Join me, your host Josh Korngut, as I answer these questions and more on the all-new four-part limited audio series JEEPERS CREEPERS UNSEEN.

    Produced by Samantha White.

The first episode comes out on October 25th.

ORPHAN: FIRST KILL (with director William Brent Bell)

ORPHAN: FIRST KILL (with director William Brent Bell)

While Development Hell usually unearths horror movies that never got made, occasionally we unpack how indie films actually make it to the finish line. We do this by picking the brains of some of the most exciting voices in horror. Today host Josh Korngut logs on with filmmaker Willam Brent Bell to discuss his new film ORPHAN: FIRST KILL. A prequel to the 2009 Dark Castle Entertainment horror classic ORPHAN, Bell's new film stars Julia Stiles and Isabelle Furhman.

In the film, "Esther's terrifying saga continues in this thrilling prequel to the original and shocking horror hit Orphan. After orchestrating a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, Esther travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Yet, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the murderous 'child' at any cost."

You can watch ORPHAN FIRST KILL through limited theatrical release, video on demand, and on Paramount+, on August 19, 2022.

Guillermo del Toro's AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS (with Drew Tinnin)

For close to twenty years, Guillermo del Toro has been attempting to get a cinematic adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's "At the Mountains of Madness" off the ground. Multiple studios have gotten entangled, Tom Cruise was once attached to star and James Cameron even became involved as a producer. Unknowable evils, cities of unnatural dread, and creatures so nasty they drive you insane, "A the Mountains of Madness" is a tale of isolated, snowy monstrousness. Find out if del Toro stands a shot at getting the greenlight.

WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY (with Rhys Frake-Waterfield)

After Dread Central broke the story about the forthcoming horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, the internet just about lost its goddamn mind. Cinema fans everywhere expressed terror, disgust, and intrigue at the photos portraying Winnie the Pooh and Piglet as violent murderers. Then, in only a matter of hours, hundreds of other entertainment outlets picked up the story, and the rest is viral history.

So naturally we reached out to the filmmaker behind the controversial horror title for an interview, and we were not disappointed by what he had to say. Rhys Frake-Waterfield is the filmmaker and producer behind Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, an ITN Studios Original Production. While in the middle of post on a number of campy and exciting new releases, he sat down with us to talk all things blood and honey.
