Episode 139: Balance IS possible with Cheree Sauer

Rhonda and Cheree talk openly about life as a busy Mom - whether you’re running your own business, or just managing your household, you CAN find balance. The key is to shift your perspective, know yourself, and take some time to think about what you value most. If you’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed, (and who isn’t these days?) this episode will offer practical tips to make some changes.

    About today’s guest:

Cheree Sauer is a Life and Mindset Coach for Momprenreneurs and has her own podcast, The Balanced Mompreneur. Her company, Heartfelt Mamas helps mompreneurs go from surviving to thriving in life, business and faith.

    Her story; her words:

For 15 years, I was an Athletic Trainer with a Master's Degree in Sports Medicine where I helped athletes prevent and overcome injury and burnout. After having children, I found myself burnt-out from a demanding job and travel schedule. I took a leap of faith, quit my job and

    became a stay at home.

After 4 months of being a stay at home mom, I was depressed, resentful of my kids and hated my life. I had become reactive to my circumstances and realized I didn't know who I was or what I wanted out of life. I knew God had more for me, so I dug into my faith and decided to no longer be a victim to my circumstances.I started my company, Heartfelt Mamas, as a self-care gift box company to encourage moms to take care of themselves but after 3 years, I realized the real issue was in their mindset and their subconscious beliefs. From my previous professional background, I knew I had a gift to help people see the real root cause of their problems whether in their body, their mindset or their relationships. Now, I help high-achieving,

faith-based moms find and work through the root cause of their burnout.

My podcast is for high-achieving moms who want to pursue their passions while being present for their families.

Episode 138: Military Divorce with Attorney Robert Taylor

Episode 138: Military Divorce with Attorney Robert Taylor

Today’s conversation is a first for us! Rhonda and Attorney Robert Taylor sit down to discuss what divorce looks like if you or your spouse serves in the military. Finding an attorney who specializes in this area is key as you navigate the rules and regulations of being a military couple. They tackle the topics:

    • Where should you get divorced?
    • Housing and retirement
    • Benefits

If you are in the military or married to someone who is, and contemplating divorce, this is a must listen episode!

    About today’s guest:

Taylor Law & Mediation was started by attorney and mediator Robert J. Taylor in Mountain Home, Idaho, in 2013. The firm expanded to Boise, Idaho, in 2020 and offers the same quality service in both locations.

By focusing on mediation as a primary option and not a court of last resort, Taylor Law & Mediation provides a low-cost alternative to traditional litigation. Mediation is less expensive than litigation; it is often quicker and puts the participants in control of the final outcome, not a judge. Mediation not only puts people in control of their case, but it also makes the law accessible to people in a very real way that is often overlooked or ignored.

In addition to practicing law, Robert also serves as an engineer officer in the Idaho Army National Guard. Prior to commissioning in 2008, he spent six years as a paralegal specialist for the Idaho Army National Guard.

Cherie believes having an objective thinking partner, an expert in communication, and transformational communication, allows her clients to plan for their success to more fully support their children too.

    Episode 126: Pre-Nups, Post-Nups, & Why You Need A Budget

    Episode 126: Pre-Nups, Post-Nups, & Why You Need A Budget

Attorney Dennis Vetrano talks with Rhonda about ways you can build your team and set yourself up for financial success. They discuss pre and post nups, the importance of setting up a budget, and ways to prepare yourself for a healthy financial future separate from your spouse. You don’t want to miss any of this conversation!

    --

Today’s guest is Dennis Vetrano, Jr., Attorney and Owner of the Law Office of Dennis Vetrano, Jr. LLC in Dutchess County, NY.

Vetrano graduated from SUNY Albany with a BachelorsDegree, Major: Political Science, Minor: Economics. Shortly after passing the bar in 1999, Mr. Vetrano accepted a job with The Law Office of Alice K. Berke, a small but aggressive general practice litigation firm in the City of Albany. For the next three years, Mr. Vetrano was able to really hone his skills as a young lawyer, handling everything from complex estate/probate litigation cases in Manhattan to federal criminal defense cases in Federal District Court to contested divorce/family law litigation cases and everything in between.

In late 2005 and finally at the TOP of his craft, a true litigator, Mr. Vetrano decided to venture out on his own. He relocated to Dutchess County, the place where he grew up and started the Law Office of Dennis R. Vetrano, Jr., LLC in Beacon, New York. Finally he was able to have the freedom to take the cases he believed in and assist those DWI, criminal defense, divorce and family law clients in the way that only Dennis R. Vetrano, Jr., Esq., knew how... For the next year, The Columbia County Attorney's Office hired Mr. Vetrano as a "Special Prosecutor" to handle all of their more complex child abuse/neglect prosecution cases as well as to train their young staff attorneys.

In his continuing efforts to grow and evolve his Divorce and Family Law litigation practice in September 2016 Attorney Vetrano engaged in and completed the comprehensive Mediation and Conflict Resolution training necessary to offer Divorce Mediation services. This allows Mr. Vetrano in appropriate cases to work directly with both parties to a Divorce who are seeking to resolve their differences fairly, amicably and efficiently. Further, in 2017 Mr. Vetrano completed the Collaborative Interdisciplinary training to become certified to be a Collaborative Divorce attorney.

    About Tina:

In 2009, One Mom’s Battle (OMB) began with one mother, Tina Swithin, navigating a high-conflict divorce in the California Family Court System while in pro per. When Tina named her blog, “One Mom’s Battle,” she truly felt alone and isolated in her journey. After going public with her story in 2011, Tina quickly realized that she was not alone, and that narcissistic abuse affects both men and women. Tina champions children’s rights - versus mother’s rights or father’s rights.  Tina has now dedicated her life to raising awareness on narcissistic personality disorder and its impact on victims and, on the family court system.

In the fall of 2019, Tina successfully terminated her ex husband's parental rights which is no small feat in the California family court system. Tina has chosen to assume the title of survivor versus victim and has become an advocate for change in the Family Court System. Tina believes that the courts have lost sight of their primary focus, which should be the best interest of the children and are too focused on mothers’ rights and fathers’ rights. Tina believes that children are suffering unnecessarily due to the lack of education on the front lines and behind the judicial bench. Tina works tirelessly to raise awareness of the issues in the Family Court System and to educate the court system on Narcissistic Personality Disorder and other Cluster B personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder and Antisocial Personality Disorder. Tina has written a series of books under the title, "Divorcing a Narcissist.”

Episode 121: Benefits of Mediation and Communication During the Divorce Process with Amanda Singer

Episode 121: Benefits of Mediation and Communication During the Divorce Process with Amanda Singer

In this episode, Rhonda welcomes Amanda Singer. Amanda is Co-Owner of West Coast Family Mediation Center. She is a Licensed Attorney, Certified Mediator, and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Amanda’s key area of practice is mediation.

According to Amanda, mediation is not going to work in all situations, but it does in a lot more than people realize. Some couples might agree on everything and they just might need more help with getting things done correctly. And there are those that agree on nothing. At least they have to both agree on mediation. Communication is not easy. Make sure you utilize the mediator’s expertise to help you through this process, especially if you have kids.

Here are some of Amanda’s recommendations about mediation and communication during the divorce process:

    1. Mediation is a voluntary process and both partners have to be willing to participate, compromise, and communicate.
    2. Once you’re already in mediation, share your concerns with the mediator.
    3. Think about how you’re communicating with your spouse, or soon be your ex-spouse during the process. It is important to take a step back and think about what it is you’re saying and how it is going to be received.

    Contact Information and Other Resources

Our guest today was Amanda Singer, Co-Owner and Professional Family Mediator, Licensed Attorney, Certified Mediator, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.

Here’s how Amanda describes herself: I am a proud co-owner and professional family mediator of West Coast Family Mediation Center (parent company of San Diego Family Mediation Center and California Family Mediation Center in Orange County). We are dedicated to helping families deal with conflict constructively and find ways to improve communication, solve problems, and reach agreements on legal and non-legal issues. I have seen litigation destroy relationships. I am passionate about mediation, which helps our clients maintain a relationship and get to the heart of the issues that are causing conflict.

We help families through all stages of life including pre-marital mediation, marital mediation, divorce mediation, parenting plans, blended family mediation, and estate planning distribution. Our goal is to help educate you on the benefits of mediation and see how we can help.

I have my JD from Chapman University School of Law as well as my Masters in Dispute Resolution from The Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. I have completed extensive mediation training, including certification as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA)
