EP89: Virtual Reality and Recommended Scooter Videos
In this episode Dagwood recommends YouTube scooter videos from Jimmy Chang & Ginger on Wheels as well as virtual reality (VR) videos from McLarty Films. You do not need Oculus headgear in order to watch many virtual reality videos, you can often use your smartphone or even an eight dollar Google Cardboard.

EP88: E-Scooters Harm the Environment? Bugatti, Ducati, Jeep... SCOOTERS!
Are PEVs and other electric vehicles as friendly to the environment as some would lead us to believe? Dagwood ensures scooterheads hear all sides of the "truth." If you are a Car Gal (or Guy) and love a certain brand you may be interested in some of the car brands that are releasing their own versions of electric scooters. EP87: NYC, Indiana, Oz "We were told they wouldn't, and they ARE!"
More anti-Scooterhead bias in the media from Australia as well as news from the Hoosier state and a brazen scooter heist in NYC. Dagwood seems surprised when Australians journalists mimic 1930s gangster accents as they taunt scooter riders.

EP86: Are Electric Scooters Allowed on Airplanes?
Figuring out whether you can bring along an electric scooter on your travels can be dicey and airline rules can differ from TSA recommendations, so listen to what Dagwood and Ed the Pilot have to say on the subject.

Do you have experience bringing a scooter aboard an airplane? Contact Dagwood at dagwoodstreets@gmail.com to help enlighten fellow scooterheads.

EP85: Ed the Pilot on Emove Cruiser, TurboAnt, AnyHill & another anti-Key Rant

EP85: Ed the Pilot on Emove Cruiser, TurboAnt, AnyHill & another anti-Key Rant
Ed the Pilot is back to talk about ways to get around town after dropping an airplane off for a client. Dagwood and Ed then compare specifications and prices on a huge list of lightweight scooters. Additionally, your "Host who eats the most roast, sometimes between toast" goes off on another borderline schizoid rant about how much he hates keys on scooters.

EP84: Scooterhead Lands Flaming Plane on Freeway! He Needs a New Scooter

EP84: Scooterhead Lands Flaming Plane on Freeway! He Needs a New Scooter
Pilot and adrenaline junkie Ed delivers airplanes and wants a scooter for commuting after he lands in faraway cities in locations that are not always near a town. He has to be able to get from the airplane to his hotel and maybe make a stop somewhere to grab a burger or the occasional chocolate soufflé, Peking duck, enchilada or whatever it is he eats. Don't ask me what's on Ed's menu, how would I know what he eats?

With rental cars in the United States often over $100 per day and Uber not always available in certain locations a scooter seems to be the way to go, but is it really?

In this episode Ed and Dagwood discuss the many scooters that are available and which ones would be most suitable to his situation. It's a sticky wicket Scooterheads; things are not always as they appear and you will find out in the next episode when a gigantic monkey wrench is hurled right at Dagwood's melon!

Just as sure as a one-legged duck swims in circles you will be enthralled by Ed's thrilling tale of how he crash landed an airplane on the freeway north of Las Vegas, dusted himself off, and walked away as the flames leapt skyward behind him like in a Michael Bay blockbuster movie. You may think I'm joking but I have the pictures on my phone and looking at them sends a chill up my spine. Truly an episode not to be missed!

EP82: ESG's Top Lightweights & Stator Fat Tire
To prepare for an upcoming interview with a pilot who needs a scooter to bring on the airplane and get around towns he is unfamiliar with, Dagwood relied on the Electric Scooter Guide's "Top 10 best lightweight Scooters" video to narrow down the field of candidates.

Dagwood also comments on fat tire scooters as we take a look at the Stator LE from NantMobility which has a few unique design features and costs around 4K USD.

EP80: Apollo Pro #2 and Ginger Goo!

EP80: Apollo Pro #2 and Ginger Goo!
Why would Apollo make an expensive scooter with its own proprietary Mach 1 controller, GPS, fall detection, theft deterrence and 12 inch "self healing" tires but NOT include a display? Listen to an interview conducted brilliantly by Chase of the Electric Scooter Guide in a bar in Amsterdam and find out why.
Also in this episode you will hear the CEO of Apollo's keynote address on the new "hyper" (huh?) scooter and Ginger on Wheels' live chat revealing he is considering his own line of products that includes a tire slime that, as opposed to some other products, may actually be effective.

EP79: The Controversial New Apollo Pro (Part 1)

EP79: The Controversial New Apollo Pro (Part 1)
Why on earth would Dagwood be skeptical about a scooter with the amazing specs listed below? Check out this episode and find out. You will also hear Scooterstar Tim West's initial thoughts and a member of the Electric Scooter Guide team interview Apollo representatives in a bar in Amsterdam.

The as yet unreleased Apollo Pro features over 150 custom made components, unibody construction and an aluminum frame. The "Mach 1" controller was designed in Canada.
The Pro has an integrated SIM card that will allow owners to track and lock their scooters (when your phone is closer than 16 feet away) via the Apollo App.

The IoT (Internet of Things) allows owners to track battery temperature and how long until the next charge-- in real time. Top speed, light intensity and color, horn, and more can also be customized via the Apollo App. The only way I'd customize top speed would be to max it out.

The Apollo Pro comes with front and back turn signals. Apollo claims the 360-light system makes the Pro "highly visible" but even according to them sucks up a ridiculous amount of juice from the battery because they used RGB technology rather than LED.

When a scooter can be made "invisible" you won't need to buy a lock, carry a key or remember a PIN code. I personally don't believe in locks or PIN codes and suggest you keep the scooter by your side no matter where you go and eliminate the possibility that your scooter will be stolen. You may be "scooter jacked" but if that happens just whip out those kung fu skills that are renowned throughout the land.

Customers will be able to receive personalized help and assistance 24/7 for $20 a month. They found a way to get a subscription out of you because you can never get enough subscriptions, can you?

The kickstand comes out from under the scooter deck and allows you to prop the scooter up off the ground, similar to some motorcycle kickstands, in case you need to change the oil. Wait, scooters don't use oil...

Apollo claims this is the most waterproof scooter yet. It has a tight seal around the deck, allegedly making it "fully waterproof." Can't wait to try this out in my swimming pool.

Patronize your fellow scooter heads like Ginger and Wheels, Tim West and the Electric Scooter Guide by watching their YouTube channels and if they have a Patreon or "Amazon Affiliate" link. Using the Amazon Affiliate link costs you nothing extra but puts a little mula into scooterhead pockets so you have nothing to lose but gain products that are tried, true and proven. I make zero mula but I buy my scooter accoutrements from the Ginger on Wheels Amazon Affiliate link and I am satisfied customer.

    EP73: Scooter Philosophy of NutnFancy
NutnFancy is a retired Air Force Pilot and one of the most trusted gear reviewers on YouTube because the products are either bought or borrowed and his reviews are unbiased. All these new creators on YouTube who review and unbox gear owe a debt of gratitude to one of the OG reviewers since 2006. Although his focus in mainly on tactical and outdoor gear systems, over a decade ago he had profound things to say about scootering that can be seen in his "Adventure Xootr" Parts One and Two available to watch on his YouTube channel.

ESP host Dagwood Streets felt strongly that what NutNFancy had to say was important enough to dedicate an entire episode to his philosophies on scootering.

    EP71: Zootering the Xootr

    EP71: Zootering the Xootr
There are a few mental references you must alter when switching from an electric to non-electric or "Kick" scooter, and host Dagwood Streets illustrates but a few. Since he has been kick scootering a whopping 2 whole weeks he considers himself a "Master" already and thus qualified to teach the world.

    A couple tips:
--On a kick scooter, don't ride down curbs in the same way you would on an electric scooter because it requires a different skill

--You can easily learn to ride up curbs on a kick scooter but it is NOT recommended on an electric scooter

--Use your paddle foot to lift the kick scooter over obstacles like pavement cracks and changes in ground surface
