    On the occasion of the 5th World Energy Storage Day, Mr Ghanashyam Prasad, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India shared about the launch of 1000MWh tender for energy storage in October 2021. He mentioned about the steering committee being ready with the draft of guidelines and bid document. He also assured Government’s support for the initial energy storage projects in the country and asked the industry to be ready for responding to the tender.     UNIDO has launched 2020 innovation challenge in the “Electrical Energy Storage Devices & Systems” vertical under The Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD) programme on 1st November.

    PLUSS advanced technologies, one of the winners of UNIDO’s 2018 challenge under space conditioning category of FLCTD program, shares experience of being a part of the program, how program helped them demonstrate their technology and boost the confidence, got exposure to larger market segment in India and overseas. The program also helped them build credibility and confidence to the future adopters.

    NITI Aayog has floated draft model bid documents for setting up ACC (Advanced Chemistry Cell) units in India under the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme. IESA is collating the comments from IESA members and all stakeholders on the draft bid, which will be submitted to NITI Aayog in the first week of December.
