    79. The Link Between Gut Health & Behaviour Featuring Linda Goldspink-Lord

In today's episode, I am joined by Linda Goldspink-Lord. She is an Author, Entrepreneur, Speaker and Director of Poseidon Animal Health, which is Australia’s fastest-growing animal gut health supplement company.

Together we have a wide-ranging conversation about the link between gut health and behaviour and how we can better support our horses.

    We discuss:

    • An overview of Linda's journey with horses
    • How she saw the link between gut health and behaviour in herself and how that transitioned over to animals
    • Signs that your horse might show if their gut health isn't in an optimal state
    • The importance of feeding our horses a balanced, forage-based diet
    • The importance of transitioning our horses slowly onto new feeds, including grass and hay where possible
    • "Poor doers" and how to improve their feed conversion efficiency
    • A realistic look at timelines when we are looking to improve things
    • Maintaining a curious mind and asking questions if you are unsure about something

    78. Live Mindset Coaching Transformation: Danielle's Journey To Feeling Good Enough

    78. Live Mindset Coaching Transformation: Danielle's Journey To Feeling Good Enough

This episode is unlike any transformation I have shared on the podcast before because you get to hear it unfold in real-time and holy moly is it cool to witness!

My lovely client and guest for today's episode is Danielle Crowell. I met Danielle a few weeks ago as she interviewed me for an episode on The Equestrian Connection Podcast by We Horse (you can find the link to that episode below).

During our conversation, she shared with me that she had some mindset blocks that held her back from doing more with her horses, so I reached out and asked if she would be interested in joining me for a podcast episode and a mindset coaching session all in one. So, that is what this episode is all about.

    You'll hear about:

    • How Danielle was struggling with not feeling good enough, and she would often worry about what other people thought of what she was doing with her horses.
    • Her journey with horses and how her past had shaped these thoughts and patterns
    • How she felt directly after her 1 on 1 mindset session with me
    • How she felt 2 weeks after our 1 on 1 mindset session (this part will blow your mind)
    • What she would say to someone who was feeling stuck like she was

    76. Navigating The Loss Of An Animal Before, During & After Their Passing With Dr Tracy Rainwaters

    76. Navigating The Loss Of An Animal Before, During & After Their Passing With Dr Tracy Rainwaters

In this episode, Dr Tracy Rainwaters and I have a open conversation about how to navigate the loss of an animal before, during and after their passing based on our experiences so far.

For those who haven't heard Tracy on the podcast before, she is a Shaman, Animal Communicator, Animal Chiropractor, Energy Healer and just an incredible human being. I am so grateful to have had this discussion with her because the lessons she shares about animals passing is not only practical, but it is deeply healing because she approaches it from all angles. She connects with the animal before it happens (if she can), she connects with other herd members before, during and after and also shares her experience grieving the loss of an animal after losing her mare Tina only a few weeks ago.

I also share some of my experiences around losing animals in the past, and after talking with Tracy, I now have some more knowledge about how to make that experience as smooth as possible for all parties involved.

I am sure you will feel a similar way after you listen to this episode too.

    68. [PART 2] What To Do When Your Horse Says No Or Shows Unwanted Behaviour's

    68. [PART 2] What To Do When Your Horse Says No Or Shows Unwanted Behaviour's
A follow on from episode 67 where I explore some other nuances around what to do if your horse says no or shows unwanted behaviours.

    I touch on

    • Sometimes you will just have a bad horse day
    • If your horse doesn't respond in a positive way it doesn't mean that you are necessarily doing the wrong thing
    • You cant expect your horse to be 100% happy all the time, learning is stressful and it's sometimes ok to encourage them through some moments if they need a helping hand to realise that they CAN do it
    • Sometimes we will have to do things with our horses that they dont like
    • How important preparation is to avoid forcing our horses through things

Then I finish with a tapping all about navigating the ups and downs with horses.

    Happy listening <3

    62. Alison's Journey To Finding Joy With Horses Again After Years Of Battling Chronic Illness

    62. Alison's Journey To Finding Joy With Horses Again After Years Of Battling Chronic Illness
In this episode, I chat with Alison Curtis, who has just completed my Confident Equestrian Program (CEP) on a one on one basis.

Alison had years of experience with horses and always found it easy to spend time with them until she fell ill and battled chronic illness for five years. During the time she was ill, all she was able to do was feed her horses.

Then as she began to recover, she suddenly lost her heart horse which added to the fear she was feeling about spending more time with her horses.

About a year later, she contacted me and joined the CEP to see if she could get back her joy with her horses again.

Together we chat about all of the above plus an honest reflection of how her journey in CEP unfolded, and she found happiness with her horses again, which she never thought would be possible three months ago.

Her journey is so inspiring. I am so happy for her and so grateful for the ability to be able to guide her on this journey.

In this episode, I chat with Confident Equestrian Program (CEP) graduate Cassie. She has a background in psychology and is a dog trainer who predominately uses positive reinforcement, but before she joined CEP, she struggled to find a method of reinforcement that felt right to her to use with her horse.

    Together we discuss:

    - How she was able to find and accept a method of reinforcement that works well for her quiet but very foody Clydie x, Oakie

    - Her concerns about using negative reinforcement and desensitising and what her views are on that now

    - The struggles she was facing as someone who wants to use both positive and light negative reinforcement with her horse and the perceived judgement that can come from that

    - How she has been able to set Oakie up for success and prioritise their relationship whilst progressing with their training goals

    - Her journey towards trusting herself and realising that she is the expert of her horse
