Featured Artist - Red Queen Theory

Featured Artist - Red Queen Theory
Red Queen Theory is a progressive goth metal band from Seattle, US. We feature an interview with founders of the band Elizabeth (lead vocals) and Dean (bass). In this special interview, lead singer Elizabeth will take you on a surreal journey into the realm of dreams and fantasy as she narrates how each song was based on her personal dream experiences. -The Trilogy- 1. Hidden Min. 5:42 2. The Dream and The Tomb Min. 11:28 3. Ravens Min. 16:28 The Trilogy is a three song opus based on a sequence of dreams that begin in Elizabeth's bedroom one cold night. While listening to the sounds of bells in the distance, Elizabeth approaches the window and decides to follow an obscure group of people who lead her to a desert where they witness a bloody battle between two armies. In the aftermath of the battle, they find themselves exhausted and filled with a sense of emptiness. In the distance, they see what seems to be a tavern. Assuming they are in heaven, they enter the tavern and see food, drinks, dancing and best of all there was music. Finally, the dream sequence ends with them dancing to the song Ravens until Elizabeth eventually wakes up from the dream. -A New Day- Min. 27:28 A New Day was one of the first songs written by the original duo, Elizabeth and Dean. This song laid the foundation of what was to be Red Queen Theory. -Saga- *demo version Min. 34:48 Lead singer Elizabeth describes another of her dreams in which while on vacation with friends, demons invade Earth, and they are forced to run and hide. Escaping in a space ship, they leave Earth after not being able to defend themselves from the demons. While wondering in space, Elizabeth starts to dream again. Feeling lonely, she remembers dreaming about a boy who she met on Earth. She went looking for him. After finding him in the form of cat, she cries and decides to live with the cat despite him not remembering her. In the last stages of the dream, Elizabeth finds herself staring outside the spaceship window looking down on Earth. Feeling lonely and not sure of the future, she hears someone calling her. It was the cat. It had regained its memory of her. After that she didn't feel lonely anymore. The dream finally ends with Elizabeth having an epiphany. In which she realizes that it's fine to wonder forever in space, as long as you can find someone to wonder with. -By The Sea- *demo version Min. 48:40 Duration: 52 minutes Language: English Release Date: 2009 *************** Current line-up: Elizabeth (vocal) Jennifer (keys) Abel (guitar) Dave (bass) Simon (drums) Official Website: http://www.myspace.com/antondomi2008 CD Baby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/redqueentheory/from/viglink i-Tunes http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-dream-and-the-tomb/id431705595?i=431705603&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 For new episodes, please go to: http://evolutionrock.podomatic.com http://evolutionrockpodcast.blogspot.com
