They discuss the rise of organized crime during Prohibition, Al Capone's role in the Chicago underworld, and the tensions between rival gangs. They delve into the planning and execution of the massacre, as well as the subsequent investigation. The episode provides insights into the criminal operations and power dynamics of the time. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre investigation led to theories and finger-pointing between Al Capone and Bugs Moran. Capone and Moran both pointed the finger at each other, but no one was ever arrested for the crime. Capone and Moran went into hiding, with Capone staying in Florida and Moran leaving Chicago. The investigation of the massacre led to increased pressure on Capone and organized crime, with President Hoover urging law enforcement agencies to take down mobsters. The Atlantic City Conference was held to discuss truces and plans for Capone. Fred Burke, a potential accomplice, was arrested for another crime, but the investigation into the massacre ended without clear convictions. Holding onto the weapons used in the massacre was seen as sloppy gangster work, as it could have been incriminating evidence. Disposing of weapons was a common practice in organized crime to avoid being connected to crimes. The story of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and organized crime history are important parts of American history. The Mob Museum in Las Vegas showcases artifacts and evidence related to the massacre and other mob-related events.

Sully explains to Dan and Tom how he took his expertise in training and tactics, and brought them to the Law Enforcement community as the CEO of Community First Project. Sully is training Police Departments around the country in the proper, and safe way to manage, and handle active situations on the street. It's an incredible program that Sully explains to the audience. Sully's mission is clearly focussed on training officers to be tactically proficient and safe.

On October 29, 2018, while working at the Tempe Police Department in Arizona, Police Officer Lindsay McCall Long was asked to assist in serving a Domestic Violence Order of Protection, something she had done numerous times without incident, but this day would be different. The subject of the Order of Protection opened fire on Lindsay and her partner as they entered the residence. Lindsay was shot three times, once in the forearm, once on the back of her left arm, and her lower back. Lindsay’s partner was shot once in the arm.

Join us on this incredible episode and hear this heroic story of Lindsay McCall Long. Hear about the incident, the pain, the survival, and the rehabilitation that followed. Lindsay will also explain the “Superhero Complex” which is fascinating.

On September 11, 2012, members of Ansar Al-Sharia attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya resulting in the deaths of both United States Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith.

In the early morning of September 12, the group launched a mortar attack against a CIA annex approximately one mile away, killing two CIA contractors Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty and wounding ten others.

Jim Dinkins has had an amazing career in Law Enforcement on the Federal level where he was a Special Agent with U.S. Customs, at the Special Agent in Charge office in San Francisco, California. At that time in American’s history, Colombian drug cartels were one of the greatest threats to the nation, and Jim developed an investigative expertise in undercover money laundering and drug smuggling investigations. During this time, Jim also became a founding member of the Warrant Entry & Tactical Team, and later the Special Response Team (SRT), a team of highly trained and specially equipped officers responsible for executing high-risk search & arrest warrants. Jim was selected to become the ICE, Director of Investigations, where he led the formation and served as the first head of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in June 2010, as the Executive Associate Director. HSI became the principle investigative component of DHS and was formed by merging the Office of Intelligence, Office of Investigations, and Office of International Affairs. 

This newly formed agency devoted to the investigation of a wide array of transnational crime, including: terrorism; national security threats; narcotics smuggling; transnational gang activity; child exploitation; human smuggling and trafficking; illegal exports of controlled technology and weapons; money laundering; financial fraud and scams; worksite and employment crimes; cybercrime; intellectual property theft and trade fraud; identity and benefit fraud; and human rights violations and war crimes. As head of HSI, Jim supervised a 9,000+ employee organization with 200 US offices and 72 overseas locations in 47 countries. Jim served as head of HSI until his retirement from federal law enforcement in April 2014.

On April 19, 1995 in Oklahoma City,  a rental truck pulled up to the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, and the driver Timothy McVeigh exited the truck and walked away. Moments later, an enormous explosion tore the Murrah building in half killing 168 people, including 19 children. The city was rocked by the explosion, and the sadness of those killed was felt around the world. The hunt for the terrorist or terrorists was underway with the full force of the FBI and local Law Enforcement with everyone focussed on capturing those involved in the largest, and deadliest Domestic Terrorist act in history.
