    Good Times Great Movies

Every other Friday, Doug McCambridge and Jamie Lorello discuss a film from the 1980s. Some are films we haven't seen since we were kids and offer a fresh perspective. Others are films we've never seen before but probably should have. Do they hold up? Are they classics? Or would these films just be better off having been lost to time?

On our latest episode, Doug comes out against high-waister pleated khakis, Jamie prides herself on the keen ability to differentiate one 'Raimi' from another, and we both try (but fail) to wrap our heads around the geography of the back of a grocery store. Wipe down that register with ALL the bleach you can find, just put that packaged hand back on the shelf, and join us as we enter spooky season talking about the most frightening thing...minimum wage employment. Oh, and the movie Intruder!

On our latest episode, Jamie understands why 'Rainy London' is called 'Rainy London' (it isn't), Doug's defense of Chevy Chase begins and ends with Community, and we both marvel at the amazing dog acting in this otherwise boring and bloated comedy/mystery/kids movie..we're honestly unsure. Embark on the short drive from Paris to London, toss your stinky dog in the bubble bath with you, and join us as dig up a Benji/Chevy team up we never knew existed, Oh! Heavenly Dog!

On our latest episode, Jamie is 'outraged' that He-Man runs around with so little clothes on but happy that Skeletor got the titular line, Doug is really upset that Kevin lives through this adventure, and we both have no idea where the people are in this movie. On our latest episode, Jamie draws parallels between William Katt, Bull from Night Court to Forest Gump and Bubba (that shrimp obsessed guy), Doug focusses a bit too much on the real estate portion of the movie, and we both agree that writing a book on traumatic experiences in Vietnam might not be this character's focus. Episode 181: Episode 181: Solarbabies (1986)

I guess it's like a glowing power orb or an alien or pure goodness or something like that. None of that matters because the only important thing is that half the cast of The Lost Boys rollerblade around a bunch.

Actually, Doug and Jamie have no idea what that thing is or what's going on with this movie because we're not watching it. Apple Fool's everyone! Nick and Jordan can try and muddle through this one.

If you are interested in what we have to say and what we're doing this time around, then check out the 90's movie podcast, Filmshake, where we're talking about the Sly Stallone/Golden Girls mash-up, 'Stop or My Mom Will Shoot!' and Doug reviews 'Spice World'!

We'll all be back to our regular shows next time. Hope you enjoy this little switcharoo!
