    Guest:

Danyalle Youngers is a wife, mom of 5, homeschooling them all, and Coach. Her struggles with parenting, while fighting Depression and Anxiety, and a yet unknown Food Addiction, led her to a passion to partner with other Moms.

Danyalle works with clients who may be struggling with addiction, and/or mental illness, or just wanting to become the best mom possible for their children. She brings her compassion, experience, and training to each session and helps clients find the compassion and courage within. Don’t Worry About Failing. Worry About Not Trying

Don’t Worry About Failing. Worry About Not Trying

It’s time for a different type of diet.  If you want to release the unwanted weight of debt, stress, AND pounds then this podcast is a ‘must listen to.’  Here how today’s guest helps women not only thrive but survive!

    Guest:

Having started life out in small town Ontario, Sonya Janisse was fired by the desire to see what life was like outside her community. Like many young people, was full of excitement at the prospects of following “The Dream” of landing a high-powered job, owning a big house, finding the perfect man and being a perfect mom. It is the same illusion that so many are led into thinking is a sign of success. After years of missed moments with family, feelings of just going through the motions and realizing the realities of the true struggles of balancing long, stressful work hours, children, personal relationships, and societal expectations, she began to take a long hard look at why working for “The Dream” was not making her life better or happier. She started to realize that “The Dream” was not really what she needed or wanted out of life. So, she bravely left those societal ideals behind in order to discover not only what she truly wanted from life, but also how she wanted to get there. However, it took a while, like any truly worthwhile puzzle, to put all the pieces into place.

Now she makes it her passion to help others to truly look at their lives and to find the pieces they need to start to build their own picture of what it means to live their best life.

Now, she loves what she does and who she has become. Sonya is in love with life and living it on her terms.

Sonya wears many hats and has expanded her message and her bright spirit to find ways to help all who need it. She has returned to her small-town roots, but now she has the ability to reach out to the whole world. As a proud mom, doting grandmother, personal trainer, wellness coach, network salesperson, inspiring podcaster and published author, Sonya is living her best life and loving every minute of it!

    I'm Possible

    I'm Possible

Sometimes the most unlikely person IS the person, the expert. So, it is with guest Pat “Packman” Buttitta who shares how he came out of his comfort zone to find that anything and everything is possible when you put your trust in what God has planned for you.

    Guest:

Pat “Packman” Buttitta is a dog behavior and rehabilitation specialist in New Jersey, and founder of Packman to the Rescue, K9 Solutions & Coaching. He was terrified of dogs for 28 years, until one day, he was forced to face his fears. While working to overcome his fears completely, Pat discovered Cesar Millan’s show, The Dog Whisperer. The show taught him many things, especially how to understand dog psychology. Pat applied what he’d learned by volunteering at local animal shelters, and by doing so, he discovered a passion and talent for helping troubled dogs. In 2014, determined to help as many dogs and families as possible, Pat left his 16-year career in financial services to dedicate his life to working with dogs.

    Unfreezing Trauma

    Unfreezing Trauma

Today’s guest suffered relentlessly until something unexpected happened.  This ‘something’ turned her life around and can turn yours around too so that you can start to enjoy family, friends, and life in general.  Tune in as Mary Held shares her journey to unfreeze her trauma and become an advocate for others.

    Guest:

Mary Held lived through various traumas as a child but buried them within herself.  She self-medicated with alcohol, becoming an alcoholic which led to more traumatic experiences.  Although she eventually found long term sobriety, she still kept the traumas buried inside.  After some time though, these traumas surfaced as undiagnosed complex (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) PTSD causing seizures which mimicked epilepsy.

For eleven years, these seizures ruled her life.  Then a friend suggested Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.  Through this therapy, Mary found a way to process those traumas.  Unfreezing Trauma: My Private Journal of EMDR Recovery details her recovery.

After finishing the therapy, Mary went on to earn her master’s degree at MSU, received a post-graduate certification as a Developmental Educator, and developed a nationally recognized program to help students upgrade their math skills for college.

Mary is a long-time resident of the Lansing. Michigan area.

    Let Love Win

    Let Love Win

Remember the days when you were little, and you wanted to do something?  You were either encouraged or discouraged right?  Fast forward to now.  How does that resonate with you?  Raising children comes with challenges and there is no one size fits all.  There is though, a way to empower children and adults so that they can have a meaningful life if we ‘let love win’.

    Guest:

Kathryn spent the first half of her work life working in clerical/admin (i.e. clerk, receptionist, administrative assistant…) and the second half, beginning in the early 1990’s, working in the human services/support field as a residential counselor, lead residential counselor as well as a recreation leader and para educator.

In 2008 Kathryn was injured at work. Two years later, she was rear-ended.  She went back to school, working to reinvent herself.  Her professor kept questioning her though because he felt that she already had the skills for her new self.  However, Kathryn didn't see it, nor paid any attention to the professor’s comments.  Not until much, much later.

This odyssey, which lasted 12 years, was full of physical struggles, trials and challenges.  Did you know that there is divine power in the number 12?  Kathryn didn't then either.  You see, she always had believed in the good that God could bring through everything when someone perseveres in Love and trusts Him with outcomes.  At that time, though, Kathryn just didn't connect the dots.  She was, in her words, too wrapped up in reinventing 'me'.

One of the new discoveries in Kathryn’s odyssey has been “coaching”. She began learning and training in 2018 (ten years later) at Western Seminary in a Coaching Program growing many positive progressive and transformative relationships. Then in 2020, during the pandemic, the many connections helped her discover writing...or maybe re-discover it.  You see, now Kathryn had had learned to bloom where she was planted and wants to share her journeys, the lows and the highs so that you too can grow and transform with a purpose.

    Exceptional Needs/Exceptional Children

As a parent, what do you do when you know something is not ‘right’ with your child and no one seems to listen to you?  Being a mom can be challenging and made even more so with the constant moves a military family has to make.  However, find out what Austin Carrigg and how she finally was heard and has become an advocate for exceptional needs and exceptional children.

    Guest:

2017-2018 Austin was the Vice President and a founding board member of Little Lobbyists, an organization whose vision is to ensure that all children with complex medical needs have access to the health care, education, and community inclusion they need to thrive. Love Conquers All

    Love Conquers All

What do some people do when they have lemons?  They make lemonade and the glass is not half empty, it’s full.  That is what today’s guest did when faced with government bureaucracy, trying to find answers to critical issues.  And she doesn’t want others to re-create so she shares not just her knowledge but also her answers with others.  It’s not perfect but she has learned to hunker down, acknowledge her misgivings and just do it!  It might sound like a cliché, but Love does conquer all… Love Rutledge that is!

    Guest:

Love Rutledge has a day job in the Federal Government with the Department of Defense (21 years).  In her spare time, she delivers weekly podcasts as the host of the Fed Upward Podcast. She is also the proud mother of two children.
