In which we apologize for being bad hosts and hint at something to come. Things will happen, dear hearts.

Gas up the jet and book your first class sleeping room because we’re flying to Singapore in our minds. We watched Crazy Rich Asians, and we have all the hot takes like, “Awkwafina is hilarious” and “this amount of wealth is unfathomable!” Plus, we talk about The Crown and its gateway into internet rabbitholes, bridesmaids with wet feet, and weirdly, OJ Simpson. Bok bok, dear hearts!

Jaleh and Jessica host a podcast. WHOOPADEEDOO! It’s a quote-fest on this week’s episode, because we’re talking about The Wedding Singer, and it’s impossible not to quote along. We get intellectual about millennial 80s nostalgia before we devolve completely in classic Hart Chicks style. Now take off that Van Halen t-shirt, dear hearts, before you jinx the band and they break up.

It’s time to cliff-dive into our next couplet: rom-coms with male leads, starting with Forgetting Sarah Marshall, a modern classic full of one-liners and Jason Segel’s work of art. We mean the Dracula Musical, of course. Plus, we are pleased as punch to welcome Honorary Hart Chick Vince of The Future Break-Up (@futurebreakup), a guest spot years in the making. Sip on the Haderade and head to the North Shore with us, dear hearts.

The Mayors of Tangent Town have returned to discuss the magical realism of the modern fairy-tale, Penelope. We really get into this flick, as well as Rage Against the Machine, IMDB, and the plot of Atonement told badly. Plus, James McAvoy — need we say more? Don your best scarf & coat combo and hop a Vespa with us, dear hearts.

Get your tokens, dear hearts, because we’re taking the El straight to Chicago for the April Christmas classic, While You Were Sleeping. Eliza Jo is back too, so you know we have lots of opinions about everything: Spaceballs, string cheese, and the dramaturgical impact of voiceover. No, seriously we do. Flip your coat to the reversible side and hunker down in a chunky sweater with us.

CK Dexter Haven, it’s another classic! Change out of that space-aged dressing gown and swan dive into The Philadelphia Story with us. We talk toxic men, Dateline, drunk acting, and all things yar. We also talk about the actual heroine, which is Dinah and we won’t be taking any questions on the matter. Plus, who is going to make us the sequel with Mike & Liz, please and thank you? Don’t wait for the tiger, dear hearts.

We’re taking it all the way back to the OG rom-com this week, and we’re pleased as punch to talk about what happened one night that was actually like four nights. Hear all about our film critic school past, our Spaceballs tangents, and our whole opinions about Pre-Code Hollywood (spoiler alert: you probably already know). Fly through the air with the greatest of ease with us, dear hearts.

We’re back, dear hearts, and we’re ready to dive into our first season: Rom-Coms. We had to kick it off with a shoutout to our Bluebell roots with Sweet Home Alabama. We got hot takes on the fashion of 2002, the effects of lightning on sand, and how there is no such thing as a bad Ethan Embry performance. I hope Neil Young will remember to listen in, and so should you.

We are launching our new podcast next week! Subscribe now, dear hearts!
We’re back on our BS, dear hearts, but this time, we’re in a much lusher locale. The two of us have fallen hard for Love Island UK, so we decided to pull each other for a chat about the drama of Series 5. Put on your grafting boots and make yourself a cheese toastie— we’re going to the villa!
It's our regularly scheduled closing time at Hart of Dixie Chicks, so finish your whiskeys and beers. We decided to give our dear hearts a super sized episode for the last one, mostly because we couldn't shut up about Zoe Hart, Wade Kinsella, and all our favorite Bluebellians. Plus, we have some entries in the mailbag as well as guest appearances from our podfathers The OC Men, the BS Twins, and a sweet message from Eliza Jo. Stay to the end to hear all about what we have planned after a (brief) pod-hiatus. We love you most, dear hearts!
We’re wrapping up season four. Jess and Jaleh chat about their favorite episodes and their favorite call backs. We make up possible Bluebell love triangles. Plus, we deal in some Wade-isms. We also dig into the mailbag and hear from our dear hearts. Join us as we break down the whole season from top to bottom.
It's the finale, and we devolve from top to bottom. Because we had the time of our lives. No, we've never felt this way before. Yes, we swear. It's the truth. And we owe it all to you, dear hearts. Long live the hart!
It's happening, dear hearts. It's the penultimate episode. We are Apocalypse Adjacent, and Bluebell as we know it will never be the same. At least, that's what Cyrus Lavon-ius Jeremiah Jones is telling us (that's CLJ Squared, fyi). Also, Zoe and Wade talk about love and marriage and their top five rants, while George gets an offer that AB won't let him refuse. It's the final countdown, and we feel some kind of way about it.
It's Brick's birthday, and he's either Molly Ringwald or Lil Sebastian-- we can't tell. We do know that he LOVES Meatball, and dear hearts, so do we. This week, we also love Lemon's coffee carting, Clora not being the worst, and WADE WITH A BEBO. Gird your loins. Plus, in a moment of Lead Deals synergy, we have Jon Timmons on for one last guest appearance. If you were here, you would believe us.
Bluebell is having Big Feelings this week, and we are right there with them. We have deep chats on parents, loss, and forgiveness, and we know we're biased, but it's really good. Jaime King is also bringing the A-est of games, and we can't applaud her enough. Plus, on a lighter note, George and AB's first date is a little fishy, but we have good feelings about it. Pick up the pieces with us, dear hearts.
It's our Annual Bluebell Sparkle Christmas Holiday Magic Elf Solstice Jamboree 2: Electric Bugaloo, and you're all still invited! Join Holly Jaleh Christmas and Jes-mukkah BS as we perform a 12 Days of Bluebell Christmas for the ages, Secret Santa a townie or two, and recast our favorite holiday movies & TV episodes. Happy holidays, dear hearts!
Were-raccoons, butt yanks, and ambrosia-- oh my! Only Hart of Dixie could bring this amount of chaos so close to the end and still deliver the goods. We get extra silly with Honorary Hart Chick Jamie Clark Yeah, while also digging deep into the problematic dirt pile of gender norms surrounding babies. You can be anything that you want to be, dear hearts, whether you hide your hair in a hat or not.
