So the 2022 Hawks have finished their season on an Extremely high note, beating the University of Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 21-0! The Hawkeye defense performed the way they have all season and what has been so natural for them all season with a dominant performance in forcing a shutout but also scoring 2 touchdowns! Cooper DeJean walked away with MVP honors for his performance as well! The Hawkeye offense looked pretty good at times with freshman and first time starter, Joey Labas running the show. Overall it was a good performance and this team looks to bolster some key areas this off-season.

The regular season has produced an opportunity for the 2022 Hawks to enjoy Kirk Ferentz's 19th Bowl Game as the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Hawks take on the same Kentucky Wildcats team that handed the Hawks their 9th bowl loss under Ferentz in a 20-17 battle. The Hawks look to avenge last year's loss with a starting quarterback that hasn't taken a single snap from under center as a Hawkeye. It's gonna be an exciting showdown down in Nashville, Tennessee!

With the regular season now over, the Hawks now have to sit and wait to find out what bowl game they will be attending. In the meantime, there has been quite a bit of movement with the announcement of Alex Padilla & Keegan Johnson entering the transfer portal. What's the status of starters like Sam Laporta, Spencer Petras & Cooper DeJean? How does this team bounce back? We will try our best to address these questions.

With everything on the line this past Saturday in Iowa City, the Iowa Hawkeyes couldn't get the job done! Wow, what started out with the opportunity to become repeat Big Ten west champs, 8th year straight, winners of the Heartland Trophy and sending off this senior class with a victory, all fell terribly short to the than, 3-8 Nebraska Cornhuskers. Now the Hawks will be waiting and watching to see which bowl games will come knocking.

What has turned out to be an up and down whirl wind season puts the Hawks in position to make a clean sweep on Friday as they play host to their rivals, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. With Senior Day, The Heartland Trophy & The Big Ten Championship game all on the line, It's sure to be an exciting showdown in Iowa City at Kinnick Stadium on Duke Slater field.

The Iowa Hawkeyes have had an up and down season but the incredible fact is that they still have a chance to win the Big Ten west. With a win against their rival Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hard to believe the game losing streak they faced earlier this season would result in a now opportunity to go to Indy in December.

Saturday's matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Minnesota Golden Gophers is one of mirror imaged teams. Both the Hawks and the Gophers are riding 3 game win streaks and have offenses that rely heavily on establishing the running game, after that the similarities go out the window as the Hawkeye defense has been dominant even in their losses this season and Minnesota has more yards on the ground than they do throughout the air with their ground and pound approach. The Hawk's win streak is up to 3 as they take care of business at nome against their rival Wisconsin Badgers. The Hawks held one of the Big Ten's best rushing attacks to just 5 yards. The fellas talk about it.

Spencer Petras also had a tremendous day as the Iowa offense picked up where they left off against Northwestern and had a dominant performance against the Boilermakers. A win against Iowa would mark their 1st against the Hawks in 14 years & mark their 1st 5-1 start since 2011. The #4 Michigan Wolverines traveled to Iowa City to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the game was a truly dominant showing in all aspects. The Hawks were able to score 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to make the score look respectable, but this game was dominated by the wolverines...
