    A Change Is Gonna Come

    A Change Is Gonna Come

Welcome to this week's episode where I discuss what happens when change happens TO us versus when change happens FOR us. Often, we become immersed in the madness of unwanted and unforeseen change and forget to look up from the chaos to live the best lives and be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. When we step into our resilience we are reminded that we can work it all out in this lifetime.

    Go Deep

    Go Deep

This week on I Am Wellness, I have my sis, Hannah Araya, here to help celebrate my birthday! As we "pour it up", we make space to go deep into our experiences and thoughts on trauma, codependency, ambitious traits in ourselves and that attract us to others, and meeting ourselves exactly where we need to be met. It's safe to say that whatever we needed to talk about, was discussed in this episode (and there may be some singing [very off key] in there too). Help me celebrate my birthday by taking a listen, I'm sure there are plenty of gems to take note of!

    The Weight of the World

    The Weight of the World

In this week's episode, I discuss thoughts and feelings I have surrounding all of the events happening in the world around us. It seems as though the world becomes more chaotic everyday and it takes a lot of work to navigate it all and still maintain my sanity and wellness. Please be advised that there are heavy topics being discussed in this episode and if you need to connect with someone to talk please use these resources: Crisis Text Line - text "HOME" to 741-741 or call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255. In this week's episode, I pay special tribute to my "tribe" and dive into taking inventory of the relationships in your life and how to find the value in your friendships. What To Expect When You're Expecting

What To Expect When You're Expecting

This week's episode is shared with Mikayla Taylor @bymikaylataylor, who shares her vulnerable experience living with chronic illness as well as shares news of her "mommy to be" to a beautiful baby girl. While the pregnancy journey is often normalized to be an easy, happy, and healthy experience, this is not the case for a lot of women. Mikayla shares her experience with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), enduring the impacts of her chronic illness, maintaining her overall wellness, and being her best advocate while receiving treatment. Too often, the lived experiences of women get shamed or judged if they do not fit the status quo, but it is the priority to shift our conversations and spaces to allow for women to be themselves.

    It's The Body For Me

    It's The Body For Me

In this week's episode, I am joined by Charity Irby as we discuss body image and share our experiences with body shame, how the outside world impacts our own internal views of ourselves, and how finding self-love meant that we needed to start honoring our bodies. As noted in the episode, an excerpt is shared from The Body Is Not An Apology by Sonya Renee Taylor which was purchased from Black-owned bookstore, Underground Books, in Sacramento, CA.

    Let Me Transform Ya!

    Let Me Transform Ya!

With inspiration from a conversation held between Oprah and Bishop T.D. Jakes on her Soul Conversations Podcast regarding Transformational Thinking, I dive into how transforming my thoughts from within has changed not only my outlook about myself but how I've used it to evolve into the woman I desire to be and have outcomes that set me up for my success. I talk through moving from the pain of the past and self-sabotage to allowing my experiences to steer me in a more growth-filled present and future. Join me as we start to TRANSFORM together!
